And January is officially here with the first game of the NFL postseason, Colts at Jets.

    - Jets are killing the Colts.
    - Jets are this year's Team No One Wants To Face In the Playoffs
    - How on earth did the Colts make the playoffs? I suppose playing in AFC South helps. I'm not a huge fan of this 8-division system.
    - Giants Stadium turf is absolute crap.
    - I like Don Cheadle.

The Colts are a pretty decent team, if they can play on the fake stuff. Playing on the road, in the cold, on that crapola field that vaguely looks like some of the soccer fields I play on here in Columbus, the Colts are complete crap.

The Jets ARE a scary team, but the Colts are really making them look good right now.

That's exactly it. And that's why you should never expect much out of dome teams in the playoffs.

Speaking of which, I'd love to see how Vick plays at Lambeau, but I'm expecting the Packers to put an end to his breakout season.

The Falcons are making the Pack look stupid so far in the first quarter. At Lambeau Field!

    Wow!!!

Longwell just missed a field goal attempt. 14-0 in favor of Atlanta at the end of the first quarter.

Do we now have to begin considering Mr. Manning to be overrated?

And I liked Don Cheadle the first 2,000 times I saw each of those spots. But then, when the second game of the doubleheader came on, I got a little sick of him, and of them. Enough already. We're already watching the playoffs, you morons.

Holy crap, Atlanta 21 - Green Bay 0 with 12:06 left in the first half.

What a HUGE upset in the making.

I missed the 3rd touchdown and switched back to see the Packers with 1st and goal. Now four plays later they failed to score and Atanta gets the ball back! What a huge defensive stand!

Upsets are so much fun for us neutrals.

The goalline stance looks like it's going to result in at least another 3 points for the Falcons. They started at their own four yard line, and are now on Green Bay's 8 or 9, with about 40 seconds left in the half.

    Wow!

I like upsets in games when I'm neutral too. Now tomorrow, NO upsets will be tolerated at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. I am decidedly not neutral when it comes to my Stillers.

    :)

Field goal for Atlanta at the end of the first half. The score going into the locker rooms is ATL 24, GB 0.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. The fans are booing the home team.

I have to say, Vick is fun to watch. :D And the Packers, considering they got smoked LAST WEEK by the J-E-T-S, this 24-0 halftime result can't be totally surprising.

Vick is a blast to watch.

Green Bay is finally on the board. 24-7 in favor of the dirty birds.

he has the most beautiful sprial ever, the ball comes out of his hand like a rocket and every single time it is a perfect spiral...you never see a 'fluttering' pass from vick.

Fixed your post. Quite frankly, from the reports I am reading, I can't wait to see this game on tape delay this evening in East Asia.

Farve just fumbled. Atlanta ball on GB 25, with about 5 minutes left in the game.

Stick a fork in 'em, Green Bay is done.

wow... i wonder, though, if green bay was still dejected about losing to philly, if that carried over?

I mean, you go from a possible 1st seed, to a wild card with 1 loss, you have to feel like ************.

    Thanks, jackass. :D

I am quite humbled. One ESPN columnist predicted this would be the equivalent of Michael Jordan's breakout game in that playoff game at the Boston Garden.

But this is great. We get to watch Michael Vick for at least another week. Too bad for Green Bay though. I thought they were the best team in the NFC after that win in SF, but they stumbled and didn't recover.

I sort of agree with you. But I haven't watched much football in the past couple of weeks so I haven't been whacked in the head as much as you have.

You're right. No need to preach to the converted.

    Stupid stat of the day

Peyton Manning now has 20,618 career passing yards and 0 playoff victories. I believe the all-time record for most passing yards without a playoff win is 34,665 by Jim Hart of the Cardinals. Admittedly, it was harder for Hart to make the playoffs in the days of the single wild card, but he was 0-2 and Manning is now 0-3.

That was one of the only times that I know of that the Green Bay fans booed the home team. I think that the players were like the fans this week. There were a ton of tickets available all week for this game. I know that I wasn't into it.

What a game by the Jets! Man, 41-0...they completely dominated the game.

What a year for upsets! First the World Cup, then the World Series, and now the NFL playoffs. Just watch the Giants beat the 49ers tomorrow...that would be great!

    J! E! T! S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
