This thread shows pics of supposedly next year's kits... they are the same style as all of the kits the National Teams are wearing for Euro, so they seem reasonable to be the next kits, but they aren't really much different than this years. What do you guys think: they will be, they won't be, they look good, etc.

I like them. This season's kit was a change of pace, but I'm glad the collar is back.

I would like to see the return of either the purple three stripes in the white or the all purple third, though that seems unlikely since the shield (logo) stripe is now blue. They should at least go back to the three navy stripes... and get rid of that UGLY grayish blue disco dancin' third jersey. Take the black out with ya, too.

Not very reliable, but I saw on another forum that the away will be black and 3rd be blue. Like I said, i am not sure how reliable this info is. Someone found pics of them on the german version of ebay.

Kaberon10: those are INDEED the new shirts.

MARCA gets the story out today. As chuwy said the away kit will be black. The third kit according to MARCA will be greyish.

I fear adidas is sticking to that greyish blue crap. Your normal navy blue or sky blue would have been much better.

I don't like the way last season's collar looks. I like the polo shirt or crew neck, and the polo style is probably more fitting for Real Madrid.

Too bad they don't put a 1/50th of the money they spend on players into designing their kits.

uh, that would be a lot of money for designing a shirt.

I rate them a 7/10. I'd like something more simple (like the centenaray season, with just a white shirt and collar) but I understand that adidas wants to promote their new jerseys by putting them on the biggest teams in their stable. I'm interested in seeing the away and 3rd kits: I thought this year's 3rd kits -- the silver-blue with black shorts -- was awful, simply despicable. I like light blue, though, Casillas sometimes wears light blue and they wore light blue 3 years ago I believe.

    BTW, question to RM fans:

Why are there so many white and violet flags in Bernabeu for every game when violet isn't even an official accent color anymore (blue is)?

Well, the seats are still purple and white.

Halamadrid, I've got news for you!

The seats are BLUE!! Have been since around 1999!

I believe RM fans are still unaware purple has been out of the equation since 1997... Check the kits, man. That stripe on the shield has been blue since '97 but the club never told anyone. Not purple like it used to.

Go get new flags guys. Otherwise when Fiorentina or Anderlecht pay a visit to Bernabeu they'll feel like the home team.

Looks like training kits to me.

Adidas went B&W with RM this year. Not even any sort of blue.

What, Adidas is next gonna change the shield's stripe to black from blue?

Hombre, just because it's not "Fiorentina Violet" doesn't mean it's not purple. It's a more bluish purple, and not as red as it used to be...but it's still purple.

Also, you could not be more wrong about the jerseys. El Madrid brought back the deeper purple for the Centenary year.

    oh Fernan... :(

Just as long as we don't wear that light blue abomination any more. Blecch. I know it's a throwback color but damn, that's far back.

HalaMadrid you may be daltonic. Blue is the official accent color and you got fooled like many others.

I have seen the stadium in person in 2002. The seats are SUPERBLUE. BLUE as the sea!!

Compare that 3rd centenary jersey with the seats, with the webpage... no contest... BLUE RULES! and if you can't see the difference then you are daltonic because a friend of mine is and cannot tell purple from blue.

Better yet take a close look at the jersey (I have it) and you'll see the big difference between the shirt color and the shield stripe.

They changed it, man. RM is white and BLUE face it. It's true. I'm 100% sure on this one.

That jersey was the exception. Navy blue, indigo blue, light blue, grayish blue.

    This is purple: purple

The seats at Bernabeu, the shield stripe, the webpage... everything RM not white is: BLUE

    Got an eye doctor??? :D

Just in case, I also visited the RM basketball arena and it was all blue from top to bottom.

When I enter realmadrid.com I get confused and think I'm either at Oviedo's or Espanyol's webpage.

    Again let's recap:

    purple
    bluish violet
    navy blue
    blue

The top two colors are absent from anything Real Madrid now, except retro shirts. The bottom two are accent colors present in official merchandise and promos everywhere.

RM and adidas purposedly made the change so that people wouldn't notice they changed an historic shield. Blue is much more marketable than purple.
