I agree with the calls for this to be shut down but don't see a need for AFCA to be carded. The point he's making is amply demonstrated by the similarly ghoulish thread regarding the start of the war.
edit: unless you were called for Kappa to be carded, given his (now changed) post wishing another poster to be killed in a terrorist attack. That card I'd go for.

If it's not closed, I'm going to pick Amsterdam and Tel Aviv as the next targets.

Exactly. To me, this is an insightful satire.

Mark Twain wrote a short story, I'm sure many of you are familiar with it. It was about a church service where the congregants were praying for success in war. A visitor got up and said a prayer that showed the logical conclusion of the war, and was locked up as insane.

I honestly believe that there are posters here who forget that, to God, a dead Iraqi is just as much to be mourned as a dead American.

    Indeed.

To all those crying for this thread to be shut and me to be carded:

    Thanks! Point made.

But I'd prefer it isn't closed. Why would this be much worse than the Iraq pool? It's both making a game out of serious sh!t where innocent people die.

American lives aren't worth more than those of the rest of us. Really. So stop thinking they are you sad phucks. You're the sick ones here.

It will be against us oil corporations, precisely the heads of them.

    Question:
If the innocent civilian deaths were to be equally reparted between the countries participating to the war the public opinon support (before the start) would be the same in US?
Would you favor wars that easily or would you be more cautious?

p.s. Of course I hope never.

p.p.s. AFCA has made a valid point with his provocation.
You start screaming if someone starts a poll for the next terrorist strike in the US but you don't when it regards subhuman iraqis.

I understand his point and sympathize with it to an extent. There is a difference between a terrorist attack and the US war. By design, terrorism targets innocent civilians while the US will seek to avoid civilian deaths. In both cases there will be civilian deaths and this is highly regrettable, but there is a substantial difference in the means of that same end.

Absolutely, but that's not what it's about.

It's about the way a lot of people here joke around about the war with an air of superiority. Sure man, hahaha, no problem. But when the sh!t hits the fan in the US you'll see the same people doing all the tough wartalk cry like babies. Because THEN it's really terrible that innocent lives are taken. And the same goes for military lives btw.

If you're man enough to deal blows you better be man enough to receive them.

In all seriousness, it is tragic that this actually had to be explained to some people. *sigh*

I probably am, but I don't feel that starting this thread contributed to that.
