I'm a selfish Real fan. I'm pulling for NY today. I want one more game at Rio Tinto this year. Here's to the front office calling me about tickets this afternoon!
Re: Pulling for NY Really it doesnt matter with this team Yes we and they would love to come home and play on our field (and get a little revenge on the pink bulls) but I have confidence in this squad that they can play anywhere right now and produce.
Re: Pulling for NY Indeed, it would be great if the Pink Cows can knock off the Creamsicles in Houston. Imagine next Saturday in Rio Tinto. A chance to qualify at home for the MLS Cup and to also finally get a win against the only MLS team RSL has never defeated.
Re: Pulling for NY I think many people forget that we were missing Olave when we lost to Houston at Houston, and that was only by one goal. When we played Houston here, Olave completely shut Ching down, and we played to a tie with a man down. I think if you look at Houston and our team, we are evenly matched (and that was before Yura hit his stride). In all honesty, I think we can beat either team, as long as the refs don't throw the game away for us.
Re: Pulling for NY GO NY, GO NY, GO NY!!!!! Highlight below for current score: Dane Richards scores in minute 25 Angel with a PK in about 37th minute DeRosario blows a breakaway NY up 2-0 just before halftime!!!
I've broadened the thread title and added the magic [R] so we can do PBP or whatever. So, who had NYRB 2, Houston 0 at halftime?
Re: Pulling for NY If NY wins, the game will be hosted at Rio Tinto on Saturday, Nov 15 at 7:30 pm MST. COMEON NY!!!! KEEP UP THE PRESSURE!!! I'm listening online to KBME 790 AM (Houston), and the announcers sound absolutely shellshocked.
Re: Pulling for NY Houston just can't catch a breakwith 22 minutes left. They've been getting in some dangerous positions, but haven't been able to finish. Good news for us!
Re: Pulling for NY Again, Houston very unlucky. They are creating great chances but can't score to save their lives. The ref isn't handling emotions well. This is an extrememly physical game and it's starting to get out of hand. DeRo with a great run down the line past two NYRB defenders. Nothing to show for it.
Re: Pulling for NY Depends - you looking at flights to SLC for this weekend or flights to LA for the 23rd?
30,053 fans - is that some kind of post season record? And they are all there to watch their 2-time defending champions LOSE in the first round at home!
Re: Pulling for NY To SLC??? Either way, I don't think so because I was already checking for flights to Houston.
Re: Pulling for NY Cards are flying. The ref is getting no respect. Another dangerous chance. Another miss.
Listening to these Houston radio guys going nuts has been almost as amusing as any game I've watched on TV (except RSL's last two road matches, of course)
Re: Pulling for NY Ball flies around the box after a corner, but Houston can't finish a couple different opportunities. Houton radio hosts lament that on another day, Houston might have scored five. GOAL NY. IT's OVER!
