Yep, in order to maximize dates in a World Cup year we need to prioritize what's important.

    The All-Star game isn't.

Thus, cancel it, along with SuperLiga and one game of the MLS Quarterfinals (switch to a single game).

    Shirts vs Skins.

or perhaps the WPS could be involved for a Skirts vs Skins.

I don't know. Ask Sepp Blatter, I'm sure he's got some good ideas.

Either way, if the MLS ASG needs to be held, it could/should be an off-season contest.

I guess I'm one of the few to actually enjoy the All-Star game.

I'd watch that! I'd love to see a topless Heather Mitts going up against David Beckham in his patented man-skirt :D

i only did this bc "all stars" is an american tradition, but most of you took it like a joke and i was serious, now i got my feelings hurt.

seriously though if we are talking of a "fantasy" all stars game, then we are talking mls cheerlders vs nfl cheerleaders and please dont picture hs chicks on this one your perverts.

or maybe chicks from hooters vs mls hot women fans?

i think MLS Domestic vs MLS int'l would very interesting. i dunno if you would consider mexico or canada as domestic in this kinda situation, but if it went down you'd probably see a team of DP's (int'l), vs a team of solid homegrown talent that is (unfortunately) European bound.

ps does Landycakes count as a DP?

I think that a team of the best players from MLS....let's call them MLS All-Stars should play a team from the EPL. That is sure to attract some serious interest.

I could see MLS dropping the game due to conficts this year, only to replace it with another event involving Josh Wicks vs. lions. He seems to have a gladiator spirit about him.

    1. MLS ALL STARS vs Mexican League all stars

    2. MLS All Stars vs World Cup champions

    3. MLS All Stars vs Estudiantes de la Plata (champion of the Copa Libertadores and without a doubt the best team of the Americas.)

Get rid of it or move it to the end of the season and play it in Bermuda.

AGREED! The Allstar game is such a joke the way it is. Honestly it's downright embarassing, even if we win. The whole "our league vs. your team" is just degrading to football in the U.S. The only reason I even watched it is because so many Sounders were around and I love Tim Howard.

I'd love to see this. Move it back a week or so so it falls the week before the Apertura opens.
