Just next after Igor, whenever he goes, which I'm assuming will be soon.
Wasn't he just hired as an interim manager anyhow?
So he could be fired next week and then would we hire another interim manager or a "long-term" manager?

If Igor gets sacked before season's end, there's no way his replacement is a 'long term' posting. Maybe, if he did well enough, he could become long term. But the view will be toward escaping relegation. Anything beyond that is uncertain ... down to what division we'll be in.

edit: :D:D rumors now circulating that DeZerbi has been lined up for after we get tonked by Liverpool. I should've known better than apply common sense to our scenario. Whatever ... I wish success to whomever ends up in the job whenever he does.

I don't give a toss anymore. It's a pointless endeavour when we have these complete morons at the top calling the shots.

I just want to believe that the folks making that decision are doing so based upon better information and fuller knowledge than I have.

    Unfortunately ...

Isn't Poch gonna stay at USA?

as far as Alonso... dang yes, as an ignorant american who isn't very tuned into spanish football i kinda get Xabi and Xavi mixed up. They have similar sounding names. They are about the same age and both are midfielders. They both played for Spain; they both coached at their old big clubs where they were rivals and both were fired and both are now free agents. Uncanny

Either one would be great but probably unlikely. Probably Alonso would be a better fit stylistically

Do you guys think we should play attacking football the next 9 matches or should we play pragmatic?
I think most of you like attacking becuase that's like the dna of the club? that's why some of you didn't like Jose

Honestly if we're not gonna get a PL manager then we should get a Bundesliga mgr as that style and quality of players would match up the best

    :D:D:D

Ive only just now looked at the poll options. Rooney? Lampard? Zidane? Bale?

    BALE?!

Were you drunk? I mean, to be fair, I am. But hell man ... Gareth Bale? OK, I'll have another pint and see if it makes any more sense after.

I do like that Scotty Parker's on there, by the way. But like I said, I've had a few.

How 'bout Harry? Ange, even? But effing Mourinho? How dare you?! :D:D

Put Martin Jol on there! He'll get us out of this!

JOL IN!! Do it, Venks! It's your way out! Blaming Levy is just spinning your wheels. Jol = traction! Do it! JOL IN!!!

Ok Bale was just for funsies.

Admittedly the list was getting wacky at the end. lampard/rooney i'm assuming are no-go's because they are associated too much with other clubs. otherwise i do think lampard could be an option.

Zidane - I think a lot of clubs would like to have him. But maybe he's been out of the game for too long.

Jose Mourinho - yes I would like that! He def could help us avoid relegation and he sells tickets

Ange - heck no. he's a loser who doesn't belong in the Prem League. He can't adjust well enough.

Happy drinking, that sounds fun. Are you in a proper pub in London? that's what i'm picturing

I wish. A proper pub in Indiana. They do a very good Kolsch.

Anyway, yeah, I've actually heard rumblings about Ange. Says a bit about how desperate we are, doesn't it? I mean, there's flailing about in the water, desperate for anything that floats, and there's 'why not Ange?'

I'd have it, by the way. Not because he'd keep us up, but because it'd be (on some level) fun.

Actually, by all accounts, he's a very good motivator, and we know most of this squad quite like him. Hmmm ... I'm actually warming to the idea (and last night's Kolsch is long gone!), even if his last year and a half at Spurs suggests that he doesn't float at all.

    Ange in! :whistling::unsure:

Don't worry Dada, the Ange Apologists suffer from chronic myopia - they conveniently ignore the fact he lost 39 games in all competitions over 2 seasons, presided over the worst league season in the 144 year history of the club, and then went on to do and say the same idiotic things he did and said at Tottenham in an 8-game winless run at Forest which got him the sack after 39 games in charge.

Yeah, he is exactly the man we need to come in at this point.

I wouldn't put it past our idiot board.

And we still have supporters, including some on this forum, who wanted to 'give him the first 10 games' this season.

Judging by the poll results, this forum really does appear to have its metaphorical finger on the pulse of THFC's inner workings.

Well whoever voted got it right, so game over.

Not worth straining the few brain cells I have left to contemplate such madness.

Now de Zerbi says he will be manager next year no matter what. So it seems like the board is going to give "find a good manager and stick with him" another go. Hopefully this time they got the first part of that right.

We'll see. I don't trust this scum ownership farther than I can throw them.

And if we get relegated, the woke rabble will come crawling out of the woodwork for his head.
