Given his experience coaching Italy at Euro '08 (PKs loss with Spain) and his long playing career with AC Milan culminated with a stint at the Metrostars, could he be the right guy?

Or maybe, wait two years and replace Bradley with Ancellotti or Mourinho?

Not a single one of those will ever even consider coaching us.

There is no version of reality where:

    A) We could afford any of those people.

    B) They would ever consider coaching for us.

Not now at least [Mourinho has occasionally speculated as to managing the USA once he's retired from the Club game. But by then he'd probably be drooling, anyway].
Besides, I don't think the first two would add anything substantial to this team. Italian coaches don't often translate well to other cultures.

I have a feeling that it is going to be Jürgen Klinsmann

Steve Sampson should be strongly considered.
And then folks would still have plenty of ammunition to b!tch about and justify their existence on this board.

Donadoni is not coaching any team right now. Given he played in MLS, maybe he would be interested.

What we clearly need in U.S Soccer is a huge ego.
I still can't believe that people think that Mourinho should even be considered.

in my humgle opinion, we need a real stud, somebody who likes to attack and who knows how to win.

what about the jewish dude that used to coach chelsea?

if you asked me, i want a dude from argentina or brazil, somebody that would use more creative players, with the ego of a world champion.

aragonez would not be a bad idea.

not more average joes for coaches, lets bring a real big boy in.

So, this great and creative coach, this "big-name" is gonna have a different talent-pool to choose from? Okay, just checking.

england went from not making it to the euro to making it to the world cup in first place.

an stud can def make something happen with terribly overrated players.

Donadoni failed with Italy & Ancellotti & Mourinho been more club managers.

We need more attacking minded coach, we lost for being cautious system. We could beat over-rated-hyped England

Have you seen England this World Cup?! We practically outplayed them. And the WC is easier to qualify for than Euros.

Pretty sure we didn't go out of the cup due to a talent gap...

There is a good chance it'll be klinsmann. He coached Germany to 3rd place and if he wants to coach USA I say give him a try. He is probably better than Bob

Didn't Italians all want Donadoni out to be replaced with a guy that helped them crash out in the first round of the World Cup? There's a reason why he was gone so quickly.

Klinnsman is where the smart money goes. The man's value has deminished and he won't be able to demand as much money.

I've kind of wanted the Guus because he seems to love projects; but he wont be here for four years.

Other potential coaches who USSF will look at (I'm not saying I want them)
    The Fat Man of Seattle
The Young Man of Salt Lake
    Dominic Kinnear
    Nowak
