Italy was held to a 1-1 draw by 65th-ranked Lithuania in its first competitive match as world champion on Saturday. The World Cup trophy was paraded around the field at San Paolo stadium before kickoff but the celebrations quickly turned silent when Lithuania captain Tomas Danilevicius scored in the 21st minute.
