    The son of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was appointed player-manager of League Two club Peterborough on Saturday. Darren Ferguson, 34, had been playing in League Two as a midfielder with Wrexham. He replaces manager Keith Alexander, who was fired by Peterborough on Monday. "Darren's experience at this level is seen as a huge asset in our attempt to get promoted," Peterborough director of football Barry Fry said.
