Lots and lots of rumors, not surprising. So far, strongest rumors seem to point to Napoli and Fire, but we may be getting slightly biased info. Aston Villa and numerous others mentioned a little.
Guessing we will not really know until announcement happens.

Goal.com has interesting article about Charlie Kelman. 23 year-old striker lots of speed. Former USA U18 and U20 player from Dallas area, he went to QueensPark Rangers.in 2020. Things went poorly for him there until just recently-numerous loans, little production. During his second season with Leyton Orient, things finally clicked. He recently won League One golden boot, has 29 goals and 6 assists this season, including18 goals since 1-25.
Currently has low salary (<$150k) and low market value (<$1 million) but highly likely to change. Differing info. on his contract status, some say free agent shortly. I’m thinking that QPR has an option year left.
He wants to get back on US national team and play in MLS, preferably for Dallas.
It looks like he would be a nice (attacking) backup Striker. Probably a tough assignment.

That sounds like he would be a good pickup at those prices.

Yeah but I am thinking they are lots higher due to recent performance. Probably would cost more than justified for backup. But…..nice to dream!

  5. Another tweet links an article stating the Fire offered €2M for Polish U-21 (now 22) AM Mariusz Fornalczyk of Korona Kielce. He must be a Koutsias replacement.

Also, if he's looking to get on the Nats radar, backing up the current golden boot leader is probably not gonna make him too excited.

    Do like the idea though.

How is this for a grand conspiracy theory?
Fire sell Gutierrez and Koutsias, generate a lot of sorely-needed GAM, buy the
Polish U22 CAM, a starter CB and sign KDB by end of this week.
And they say I am crazy!

Saw a couple reports that both Barroso and Gasper were in full training. Hope they return to full duty soon.
Dowd also practicing with Fire I. Read that his loan was terminated so he may be around for a while.
Poreba continues to do some rehab work on the side.
Sure would be nice if these injuries would stop.

Just saw the injury list. Glad to see no last minute additions. Barroso, Teran,
Gasper and ,of course, Poreba. Not sure what a “Questionable- not due to injury “
means for Mueller but anything is possible there. Go Fire!

Maybe he’s back but fitness issues mean he’s not 100% ready to play?

Just saw MLS (finally) announced a special 10 day trading window June 1-10, matching the major Euro Leagues. Was just wondering about it yesterday.
Hoping the Fire use this window to make some roster moves.
Euros also announced a coordinated closing date of Sept.30 for all leagues.

I think that is for the Club World Cup. It has been discussed in a few other threads.

We can expect KDB to join Miami then!

I may have been wrong. May apply only to MLS teams in Club World Cup. US Soccer apparently approved but MLS restricted the use. Sorry.

So these teams get to bolster their squads, since these players will be eligible to play in MLS. How did that make sense?

Not that I am trying to defend MLS, but the Euro leagues announced this special window and if MLS did not follow suit, it would put its teams at a (slight) potential disadvantage. They can use the help.

I am against anything where only some teams get a roster advantage.
