I know precisely the same about
    Lennard Maloney
    as I do
    Tokinantenaina Randriatsiferana

But would be more likely to buy a Randriatsiferana jersey.

Unless the jersey just said "Tsiry" in which case, f*ck it.

If you look at my comments, it is obvious I am only trying to relay some objective information about him. Not sure what you are trying to do.
See 10-13-23 Ryan Tolmich article in Goal.com for additional information on him.

  4. He's not nearly as big a name on the back of a jersey as Vennegoor of Hesselink and you don't even have to count the spaces.

We are looking at a winger from a Top 5 Euro league that has cored 10+ goals in the last 4 seasons. Probably around 30 years old.

Those are the hints that the man himself uttered, I don't know who it is.

Thanks for alert. Sounds very interesting! Glad (but not surprised) there is activity!

As mentioned in the GGG thread, GGG mentioned 'tons of activity identifying, contacting and negotiating with targets that fit our desired tactics".
We are just in that period of time where it is counter productive to negotiations to share specifics, until they truly are specifics.

Note: With the MLS playoffs still going on, the rules to navigate regarding MLS players means FA announcements are a month(or more) away.
Wednesday, November 27 – Club Deadline to Exercise Options and Submit Bona Fide Offers* (1 p.m. ET)
    Monday, December 9 – Half-Day Trade window (9 a.m. ET – 1 p.m. ET)
Wednesday, December 11 - Saturday, December 14 – MLS College Showcase
Wednesday, December 11 – MLS Expansion Draft (TBD)
Thursday, December 12 – Free Agency Opens (1 p.m. ET)
    Thursday, December 12 – End-of-Year Waivers (5 p.m. ET)
    Friday, December 13 – Re-Entry Process, Stage 1 (1 p.m. ET)
    Thursday, December 19 – Re-Entry Process, Stage 2 (1 p.m. ET)
Friday, December 20 – 2025 MLS SuperDraft (TBD)

STILL glad that something is underway.
As we all know, acquisitions do not happen overnight.

I believe MLS clubs can sign non-MLS players outside the designated transfer windows. However, the ITC (International Transfer Certificate) and the addition of players to official team rosters by the MLS can only occur during these windows.
Am I incorrect in this belief?

I will not believe anything until I read the official announcements.

    This. 100%.

While it would be nice to for the usual suspects (Alex C, Tom Bogert, etc....maybe Tyrus) to spread some rumors about the alleged players coming in, I want to see the actual players announced.

Won't happen until the transfer window.

We do have MLS Expansion Draft on Wednesday, December 11.
    Who DON'T we protect?

Better yet, Who do we bother to protect? Anyone?

Free agency opening on Thursday, December 12.
Josef Martinez is a free agent again.

We do have the 2025 MLS Annual SuperDraft and Crap Shoot on December 20, 2024!
We have the Number 3 pick in the draft!
    Woo Hoo!

You are correct, although MLS' official website does state as such.

    2024 Rules
The registration windows - the dates between which MLS may request the international transfer certificate of a player under contract in another country or trade players within MLS - are as follows:

    • Primary Transfer Window: Wednesday, January 31, 2024 – Tuesday, April 23, 2024
    • Secondary Transfer Window: Thursday, July 18, 2024 – Wednesday, August 14, 2024
      • U.S.-based Clubs: Thursday, July 18, 2024 – Wednesday, August 14, 2024
      • Canadian-based Clubs: Friday, July 12, 2024 – Thursday, August 8, 2024

So an overly optimistic Fire fan could imagine that GGG will shortly have reached
agreement with 3-4 quality non-MLS players to join the Fire, just waiting for the transfer window to open, right? Count me in on that.

I mean, ya....but GGG has only been here 6wks and I'm sure there were interviews and such with the guys working on the pipeline.

Then there was building out the rubric for play style...applied to existing players to determine number of exits and applied to pipeline to determine who to pursue in earnest.

So...unless there was something Heitz started that GGG likes, I'd not expect much in November.

Definitely lots and lots to do, not the least, to name a coaching staff.
So ya, not really expecting November activity. I did say “ overly optimistic”.
But sometimes you get pleasantly surprised.

Not aware of any time limits on coaches, so, the sooner the better!
Who do we protect? There are are a few obvious players but multiple possibilities further down the list. I forget exactly how many. Would be interested in Fire fans choices and why, but wonder if that would be insulting to some players.
    What do you think?

Don't protect anyone and bring in Aloesi Nukulofa to shore up the back line.

I know there is talk of 6 new starters...I'm going to guess it ends up 5 new.

We know 1 new DP for sure. Not sure how a second DP and U22 play out, nor TAM...but I'm thinking this

I checked the video- he definitely said “six”
He also said “DPs”. (If you do not want to believe him, that is your right)
Remember obtaining the second DP is easy- Buyout or trade/sale of Gimenez

The sticking point may be senior roster status. Not sure about the rules (yet)
but that could be a factor for him and Oregel.
Is there a limit of 20 players on the senior roster?
What is max salary allowed for Supplemental Roster players?

The ‘questioning’ is do they choose 2DP+U22s instead of 3DP…GGG also mentioned making use of U22s tags that allow spending big on exciting talent that is looking to use the MLS as a stepping stone to the EPL
