Harry Redknapp has urged Tottenham fans to start backing his players more.

As he prepares to face Fulham at White Hart Lane tonight, Redknapp is adamant his squad is good enough to finish in the top four and believes fans should be grateful for the position they find themselves in.

Redknapp said: “The crowd shouldn’t get frustrated with what they are seeing. The football they are seeing here now is as good as it’s been for years.

“People are saying we have hit a wall - is that right? We have lost one in eight. So if that’s a brick wall let’s hope we can keep hitting it for the rest of the season.

“I don’t listen to what people are saying because I have my own opinion about what’s happening and how we are doing.

“It doesn’t interest me. I just know how well we have done. We have just had six clean sheets and one defeat in eight. If that’s a bad run then my God! We came out on Saturday and could have been 4-0 up in 25 minutes."
