In the latest Soccer America MLS Confidential it's reported that MLS has been talking with Grimandi for the past 2 weeks about signing a contract. It sounds like it's looking pretty good that he'll be coming to the Rapids.

What's the background on this kid? Why would the Rapids get him? Do we already have a claim?

According to the same article we can't afford both Grimandi and the Mop...
Does this mean we're trading in a bucket for a Swiffer?

In the MLS Confidential I got yesterday, it mentioned that the Rapids may not exercise the contract option on El Pibe. Not much more than the typical he was retiring after this season, we'll know more in the next few weeks. Take it for whatever it's worth.

I just snagged this from Gilles' diary on icons.com:

"Just a quick update on my transfer situation. I have an opportunity to join an American side in February and until them, I am hoping to be able to join with a team on one basis or another.

I will be speaking to some French clubs in the coming days and taking it from there. I'll let you know of any developments first here.

Come back soon for more news."
