The first game of the victory tour in Rochester on September 1st has already sold out during pre-sale and stadium officials and US Soccer are working on expanding the stadium for the public sale option.

I'm disappointed a match at RFK isn't panning out.

 

It would be really nice to have a match in the mid-Atlantic somewhere (Richmond, Chester, ...) - Rochester is a bit of a haul from Maryland.

 

I had actually forgotten about Richmond as an option, but recall going to at least two matches down there.

So if u ever wondered what soccer players do to amuse themselves on Halloween, we have McKayla Maroney and Gabby Douglas impersonators. Ah the gold medal spirit never dies.

 

Those medals are chocolate under a thin layer of foil.

 

I saw that when it was first tweeted. I've been surprised by a few of the places that have picked that up.

 

Ive seen about five different pics in various places...it's very funny...I love Morgan's face in the one I posted...What is she going for...constipated?

 

It's a reference to McKayla's expression when she won the silver (instead of the gold) at the Olympics. She wasn't impressed with it.

 

Ah...I actually only watched the soccer and I caught a little volleyball.

 

The not impressed meme took over for a couple of weeks.

I think she was robbed.

 

Looks like Germany is lining up a strong spring to prepare for Euro 2013. They play France Feb. 13, travel to the Algarve Cup in March, play the US at Germany on April 5, and then Japan on June 29th in Japan.

If USSoccer is smart theyll get some friendlies against other tough opponents preparing for Euros. Just because its a short season doesnt mean they cant having testing matches.
