Hope is having a go at Chastain on Twitter. Interesting.

 

She isn't completely wrong in what she is saying, but she needs to refrain from doing it in public. Not that we haven't said this before..

 

Were Brandi's comments that bad? I didn't watch the match.

 

Is she right when she says the game has changed so much the past decade that someone with almost 200 caps is too ignorant to comment? I don't know. I just think Hope is terrible at taking criticism - not exactly a bad thing, mind you.

 

I was watching that too. Where is this coming from? Hope being Hope?

Chastain's commentary has been horrible and overly critical. Are some of her comments warranted? Of course. But in literally every play the US makes that doesn't result in a goal she is critical. (Thought I do wonder about these goalkeeping comments Brandi made.. definitely don't remember those Hope was referring to)

 

She can't stop.

Wow, Hope really needs to shut up. Now she's calling out Chastain for not growing the sport. Um, Hope, pretty sure Brandi did more than her fair share of growing the sport.

 

If only she realized she has been getting the kiddie glove treatment when it comes to public criticism...

Seriously, Pia needs to confiscate her phone. Planefare from London is cheaper than Beijing if Hope cannot put down the social media long enough to win a gold medal.

Hope is right about Chastain's commentary. Hitting the mute button is unfortunately essential for me to enjoy the telecast. The game announcer is great, but Chastain's analysis is horrible. Which is too bad, because she is super-knowledgeable and probably has a lot to contribute. But it seems most of her analysis consists of "here is what I liked about that move" or "I really didn't like what she did there." Really Brandi? Nobody cares whether you "liked" it or not, just give us some expert analysis, will ya?

 

Article on Rampone. Apparently she was the one largely charged with reigning in Hope Solo after the Twitter affair.

Is the team Brandi most critical of the USA? You get this from Ex players some times. They don't want to be seen as favoring their former team so they become a little extra critical.
