bus wisdom provided me some laughs. http://www.ussoccer.com/media-libra...620_wntvkor/bus-wisdom-from-the-u-s--wnt.aspx
There was a nice one today with HAO and Heath going back to their NJ club team. They do a real nice job with these videos.
I guess the females are quickly catching up to the males in terms of crazy fandom... Another fan losing her mind about #159:
lol here's another camera angle of the post game interview with that crazy fan. I guessing it was newsouth j/k
it's all entertainment for me. if i ever took it that serious, i'd just off myself. we all have our favorites, but it shouldn't go beyond our little "who's the best?" arguments on boards.
I was over on Ebay checking out the price of a sweaty uniform. With four days left ... Jersey #13 $2938.00 #20 $2225.00 #1 $1625.00 #17 $1352.00 Warm-up Morgan $1001.00 Wambach $860.00 Heath $785.00 Krieger $760.00
Those jerseys are for the Boston Bombings, so you will have abnormally high bidding for charity. Here is a standard bidding for an autographed jersey: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALEX-MORGAN-AUTOGRAPHED-SIGNED-NIKE-TEAM-USA-BLUE-JERSEY-JSA/231004042420?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid=222002&algo=SIC.FIT&ao=1&asc=261&meid=8643431944874396359&pid=100005&prg=1088&rk=1&sd=121033606766&
Does anyone know if there is some reason (ie NCAA rules) that Morgan Brian and Crystal Dunn r not included in the auction?
Or the shift...when they did this for Japanese tsusami relief in 2011 over $20,000 was raised. Top numbers were Solo, $3050, Heath, $2326, Wambach, $1250. The bids on the current auction r nearly $25,000.
really, really enjoyed this read. here's what sticks with me. i) paulson may have pressured ussf into giving him morgan. ii) morgan is gonna earn more than $1 million this year. iii) thorns will turn a profit this year. there's more. everyone, especially parents of soccer girls, and the girls themselves, might find it valuable reading.
newsouth, it's difficult to quote your post when you make it a part of mine. i) paulson may have pressured ussf into giving him morgan. read at least that section of the article and you won't doubt. everyone, especially parents of soccer girls, and the girls themselves, might find it valuable reading. it's not a kid's book. it's a grant wahl sports illustrated article.
sermanni on his coaching career. http://www.ussoccer.com/news/coaching-education/2013/06/sermannis-coaching-career.aspx i thought the following interesting, considering some players said they need a coach who would crack the whip and was more of a disciplinarian than pia. ussoccer.com: You took on the role of head coach for the WNT starting in January of this year from Pia Sundhage. Pia was known for her laid back and charismatic style. What do you feel is your style of coaching and approach with this team? TS: “She is much more charismatic I think than me but I think our styles are not dissimilar. I’m a pretty relaxed kind of guy. I don’t get too outwardly stressed. I’m a great believer in self-responsibility amongst players. I’m not big in to putting lots of rules and regulations in place.
The thing about Sundhage is she never let go of being a player. She almost handles her teams like a player coach only she never puts herself in. She celebrates with them, takes their side and treats them like team mates. Sermanni may be easy going, but he understands that they work for him. If disciplinary matters arise I have no doubt he will simply deal them. To those who think Wambach is running the show I disagree. This is Sermanni ship and the crew may have different ranks but he is still the captain.
