Hull boss Phil Brown admits he is taking a more cautious approach with the recovering Jimmy Bullard.

The talismanic midfielder is closing in on a return to full fitness after a knee ligament injury, but the Tigers will not be rushing him back into action.

"Jimmy has been out and about on the training ground this week with the physio," said Brown.

"It's still too early to say what will happen. We'll take each day as it comes and make a decision later in the week.

"It's worth keeping in mind that there's still 16 games left this season and we're not in the habit of taking risks on players.

"We're keeping a close eye on him and as we saw during his last comeback from injury, his fitness levels were astounding.

"We're all desperate to see Jimmy back in the team as soon as possible but we can't make it too early."
