Fulham defender Chris Smalling will join Manchester United in the summer. The 20-year old has been impressive for the Cottagers in just nine first team appearances including Europa League matches and has completed a rapid jump from non-league club Maidstone United where was just two years ago. It is believed he has already signed with the Red Devils but the reigning champions have not stated how long the contract is for although it has been confirmed he will complete the season with Fulham. Smalling was also a target for Arsenal but manager Arsene Wenger said United came in with a better offer. “It just looks like Manchester United offered more money than us," said Wenger.
