Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has heaped praise on Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer after a good performance in Spurs’ 2-0 win at White Hart Lane.

The Australia international was at his best in the loss and kept his side in the contest on numerous occasions.
He was undone by a first-half Peter Crouch goal but the 60th minute strike from David Bentley took a cruel deflection off Cottagers defender Bjorn Helge Riise.

Redknapp was quick to applaud the Australian custodian at the post-match press conference, saying: “Three points for Tottenham, that's the main thing," he said. "We've been playing well and we've come up against a terrific goalkeeper.

"But we deserved it, we dominated and our keeper didn't have too much to do.”

The win put Tottenham three points clear of Liverpool in fourth position on the table whilst Schwarzer’s Fulham remained in ninth.
