Exactly! Folks who like Chivas will support the real thing. Folks who will like the local team will be MLS types. If Vegara enters and plays the same role as, say, the Krafts or Anschutz, then it'll be golden. Add in some expertise in marketing to the latin market here without trying to be MFL lite, and it could be a really great thing. It'll all depend on how Vegara and MLS negotiate his role. Please can the stupid "Chivas USA" name! Might as well call it "Fake Chivas" G.
I really hope they don't call it Chivas-USA. The LA/San Diego/Houston Chivas, I can live with. It'd be cool to have a Spanish franchise name.
