As sad as Wolves are, I wouldn't fork over the cash

I just might have to watch to apparently see which Newcastle players showed up in France instead of the Midlands.

    Yeah. Well. Away games.

Seriously, what is the problem when playing on the road? Having difficulty is one thing. Playing like a daft wanker is something else entirely.

Our defense? What else is new. Lack of concentration, marks left wide open. Thank Heaven for Shea Given, lest this game be a five-goal blessing for Wolves. Then again, even Shea was a hair from giving one up himself. I question whether Dabizas will ever be useful again.

Perhaps more frustrating was how clueless our midfield and flanks appeared to be when playing within 35 yards of goal. I lost track of the amount of times that they turned the ball over -- not in a 1v1 challenge, but by passing it to the fellows in orange.

Not a clever interception mind you, but a pass straight to feet. It's almost more difficult to make these passes to your opponent than it is to play it away from them. Especially when they're wearing bloody ORANGE.

Not one of our midfielders -- save Gary Speed -- appear to have any confidence or skill in taking a shot from 25-30 yards out during the run of play. Not on the road, anyway. Considering how shaky Murray was with his hands in this match, you'd think Newcastle would put a few more long shots his way. Robert got off our one outside one attempt, and it nearly found it's way into goal, but that was it. Every other chance to shoot -- Jenas, Acuna, Solano, Ameobi, Lua-Lua -- wound up an easy pass to Wolves, or a weak shot that couldn't make it past the penalty spot.

Full credit to Wolves and all their supporters at Molineux. The only crowd that made it impossible to hear the Toon support, and their volume was rewarded by a spirited, outstanding and gutsy performance by the players. Relentless in the attack, calculated in their strategy and movement, and ballsy on defense, they really put on a show. The only thing that kept the game as close as it was was a dodgy PK call in Bellamy's favor and some brilliant saves from Shea.

Cheers, Our support always comes up with a result unlike the team we put on the pitch.

Well, I paid to watch the FA Cup match on Sunday and I thought it would be Wolves v Magpies. At least that's what was advertised for a few weeks now. But no! They change it to Liverpool v Man City which was one boring game. Sure I could see that if both games were on at the same time and then they couldn't predict which game would be the better one but they had an hour and a half to realize that there wasn't going to be a more boring one of the two remaining. Certainly I knew that there would be a lot of goals in the Wolves match(Of course, I thought it would have all had been for the Magpies considering Wolves' injury problems upfront) but still to show such a boring game. Of course, many people in England were upset that they just all-Premiership matches this weekend anyway. I have to agree. The lower divisions are falling apart because of the Premier League and its time for the Premier League to rejoing the fold or it's goodbye to the other 72 teams because the money is barely flowing for just a few. Please show the Shrews v Chelsea this weekend or Town v Arsenal at, I hope but I doubt, Cherrywood.
