With you on everything except that.

Trossard is playing like ass, but he scored the winner at Villa, assisted on the winner v. PSG, and forced the own goal winner v. Leicester.

Vieira is barely playing at Porto, and what meaningful impact has he ever had here?

    Yeah
I don’t buy the “why let Vieira and ESR go” talk. Those guys weren’t good.

The problem was not buying better those two

City look a shambles. I would think we could capitalize but upon further review this is just not good enough. Quite frankly Edu has been an unmitigated disaster and Arteta being allowed to outright squander transfer budgets is now leading to some issues. Arteta has been great mostly with some massive howlers but such is life, more importantly the transfers have been downright stunning in their incompetence and failure. Poor Saka, hes been carrying this team along with Odegaard and Saliba/gabriel. Everything else has been mostly forgettable. I pray we get it together miraculously because the league is here for the taking IMO.

One shot on goal in 90 minutes is a fireable offense. We have bought 385628326 defenders and 2 attackers, one of whom is as waste of resources but had a decent spell, but form is temporary and class is permanent. Trossard is a bench player the fact he and Martinelli are starters says a lot. If you remove the Arsenal bias and pretend another manager fielded this after spending £700m every Arsenal fan would mock said manager for the Havertz/Rice disaster alone. Sadly may still pretend that it was money well spent. LOL man lets see what we do against Inter. Say your prayers to whomever you worship, hopefully not Arteta.

I do want to end on a positive note, that Nwanieri kid? Yeah, minerals brev. I love the cut of his jib. More of that and less garbage, please.

I just don't believe there wasn't one attacking mid we could have bought to play LCM and fill in at RCM for Odegaard if he needed a break.

Now we look very silly because we have spent so much but have such an unbalanced squad and lack of depth.

    Epic timing.

My take is that Edu was basically fine as a sporting director. He didn't pull off anything exceptional in either direction.

Well I for one am a bit surprised. Not to say that we haven't had some transfer misses. Nor that I totally dismissed the @DutchCane rants out of hand. But I didn't see this coming at this point, i.e. mid-season. Could the timing have been driven by Edu and not KSE?

He’s taking a lucrative position with the new Forest Group, tripling his salary. Gonna be their CEO

Best wishes to him then. But mid-season just before the winter transfer window, IF that's what's going down, is not the best form it seems. Unless of course we have his replacement lined up ready to jump in and do January deals better than Edu would likely have. OR if KSE has decided that we will be quiet in the market this January.

We should have the replacement lined up. Original news of this offer went down months ago. KSE have had time to prepare for his departure.

LOL Edu thought he deserved to be CEO. Just for that delusion alone he should be gone. The fact he didn't pull anything off is the problem isn't it? What is your job except to pull things off when you're competing against the best of the best(their words not mine).

I'm confused though, why would a club that saw that having a manager be responsible for too many things not really work out the way they intended. Now give another manager that much power? What am I missing her? Ah well. Hope it all works out. I'm sure when it doesn't there will be more "reasons" per usual.
