I wonder if they will come here with their Dive-athon show - the ref will have to nip it in the bud early - but that's for another thread:D

Thats the Porto way so you can rest assured thats what will happen. And Liverpool can't get frustrated and let that get to them, they have to play their own game and attack from the beginning.

There's a marked difference between newly promoted Derby at Anfield and Newcastle away. The one reason Big Sam was brought in was to toughen up the side, give the team a spine and some cohesion and to make them hard to beat. That was the objective, season one. From that, they would then seek to build. Even allowing for form and injury issues, the Newcastle we saw yesterday has got worse, not better, in that regard.

You know you've got problems when you chuck on Joey Barton and your defence gets less protection, not more. There's something deeply - and perhaps permanently - rotten in there somewhere.

    But who cares? :D

It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Torres had put his chances away and we had left Newcastle after handing out a proper fucking hiding though. It could easily have been another 8-0.

I don't think you can blame Torres for missing those shots. Given did well to pressure him on most and some were just unlucky.

We played very well, but how about this:

    13 games. 6 goals against.

2 penaltys. those 2 wtf brain fart robbie keane one-hoppers from robinson. a sami own goal, and a nice one at that. and fabragas.

samis tied for second leading scorer against in the prem . Tied for first overall. maybe he can grab another before the end of the year. :D

Outstanding does not describe that record. more like incredible. With torres in the line-up full time to add just that little extra scoring punch, we can push on from here lads.

That goes to show you that Newcastle's problems aren't just managerial. Its rooted much deeper. Big Sam might be regretting leaving Bolton now.

If the reaction of the fans is anything to go by, I'd say he's regretting it a lot. Perhaps he'd reached his level of attainment with Bolton.

Please don't let those numb nuts who run the FA pick him or Maurine oh for the England job.

There's the key, we are coming up to getting back our full squad, and contrary to previous years, we are close enough to make a good tilt at the title. If we win our game in hand, we'll be 2nd, and either 3/6 points behind l'Arse, and its still only November.

We're getting closer, and a good run over the next two months will show us how close we are.

Sorry but would you be more pissed if we were not creating those chances? 3-0 away from home, you should be shouting from the roof tops, these idiots beat us last year. Unbeaten with the best away record and it still isn't 1/2 way through the season!!!!!
I am going to take a break from the boards, this is getting to much like RAWK, all negative and beliving every rumor that comes from the UK newspapers.

WTF? That's a weird slant on my point...all I'm saying is that we pay him way too much to miss those chances - and that's the truth...

sure he missed some chances, but he has also conjured up some goals out of thin air for us this season. im just glad he missed them at a time where it didnt mean anything. we played newcastle off the pitch, and really an extra goal or two doesnt ever matter as long as we get the three points.
