    Newcastle Utd vs Manchester Utd

    Kick off: 5:15 GMT

    Teams:

    NUFC:
To follow...Charles N'Zogbia is available again after suspension, while Geremi has returned after his African Nations Cup duty.

However Obafemi Martins is still hampered by an ankle injury and is rated doubtful for Saturday by Kevin Keegan.

It now seems as if the groin injury that caused Shay Given to come off at Villa isn't serious enough to prevent him lining up at SJP against the Red Devils.

If he doesn't make it, Steve Harper will make his 100th senior appearance for the club. His Magpies debut came back in November 1998 (versus Wimbledon @ SJP.)

    MUFC:
To follow...Gary Neville and Mikael Silvestre remain on the injured list, but Cristiano Ronaldo recovered from a virus to play 90 minutes on Wednesday as his side drew their Champions League tie in France against Lyon 1-1.

therefore I say we spring Gazza out of the looney bin, convince him its the early 90's and Fergie is gonna sign him so he needs to be tip top for his comeback. We then press gang him into the side and onto the pitch for the game to give the midfield some fecking creativity for a change...

Its simple really we just need some more insanity in this side....

In honor of Dirt's attempt to raise spirits around here, I will follow suit. It's not black and white stripes, blue and white was the closest I could get, sorry.

That Arsenal result has not gone in our favour at all. After they dropped two points Man U know they have a chance to cut the gap to 3. Sir Alex will be too experienced to let a chance like thsi go. I think the two week break will help us but I don't think we will pick up any points today. Use this match to increase confidence then get our points againts the teams near us.

I put a shirt on (longsleeve green away kit from a couple of years ago) to inspire the team. But, much like the sponsor on the front, we may need a bailout or nationalization of the club to keep us up.

    Thx,

    Jay!

This is either my favorite fixture of the year or my least favorite fixture of the year. I'd love to pick up some points, first to help us, but second to damage Uniteds title chances.

    Come on boys!

Not positive enough, I want a blanket ban on all negativity in this forum till the end of the season.

Each game no matter how bad has its positive points, for too long we have been a club of negativity and cynisism and I say no more!

No matter what the outcome if Barton KOs Ronaldo, I will be happy.

Looks like they have mistaken Nani for Ronaldo so far.

I love it when the announcer says that "Alan Smith feels he never had the starts to prove himself at United". Meanwhile, he's proved himself with all the starts he gets at Newcastle.

On a more positive note, "Dave from Newcastle" will be happy that Ameobi made the bench, like.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Rooney scores the easiest goal of the season

What the ******** was Zog doing? Why must we keep playing him at LB? He obviously sucks there.

And now he gets himself a card. Way to go.
