I will likely be there. My third USMNT match at RFK, I think (Costa Rica WCQ 2009, Jamaica Gold Cup 2011).
Will be my fourth time seeing the US at RFK, having been to the 2011 Gold Cup match and pair of friendlies vs Germany in 2013 and Peru last year. Looking forward to being back at the old darling.
It will be interesting to see how many people show up for this one. It is not really the sexiest of opponents and there really are little to no New Zealand fans who reside in the USA that I am aware of.
They start at $25 and are still available at that price point. Looks like the upper deck for this one is not even on sale.
The is probably a good guess. Their last trip to RFK had a crowd of 28,896 with a pretty good crowd up top. Plus the Nationals will be playing that night on road in the NLDS.
Well according to Steve Goff today ticket sales were only at 5,700 as of last week. Not looking good.
Gameday! If you see a tall geeky guy in a #10 MIX "patriotic ice pop" jersey, possibly also in a zip-front black sweatshirt for much of the cool evening, come say hi.
