I’ll take Sean as a backup to Turner any day with this pool. Steffen either lost it or never had it in the first place.
It's in the Academy forum until he makes an actual appearance. Outside of preseason, it'll be a while.
Since the forum was created? You get to be in the big boy forum when you play in a league game in a big boy league. That's it. Period. It's a pretty clear line, like it or not. The 'academy' name is just a fun catch-all name for 'hasn't played in a league game for a top flight team yet'. That's why KDF was still in the academy forum despite playing in Euro competitions for Barca. He never actually got off the bench for a league game for them.
I still think if you move from playing first team games in a domestic league (MLS), it should count for enough to get you into the main forum.
it's a really dumb rule. Outdated, like the entire forum is at this point. Expectation of overhaul: 0 Yet, i keep coming back. so they win. ha
It's more useful now than a few years ago. We have premier league, la Liga, c'ship, threads pushed to the second page. It's kind of nice to segment players who haven't actually appeared for any teams abroad. It doesn't literally mean "academy" players.
We have this exact same discussion in every player thread every time someone moves from MLS to Europe… that’s what’s dumb… like.. who cares.. just let it go.
it was more an indictment on the actual "board" coding than the academy. I want emoji use and something i can't run on windows XP. Honestly, Pulisic's thread could be whittled down to about 42 total pages... and yet...
Yea, and I almost never go/went to the gameday forums despite visiting this site probably every day. Wouldn't mind a coaching forum, academy forum, and first team forum but I suppose only splitting it into 2 means if you can't find the thread in the expected place, it's in the other place. Back to Zach -- how often a number 1ish for a top 15 national team (ha!) and the backup for the reigning premier league champs had to jump down to the second tier? A bit surprised but it feels like it's pretty telling; perhaps continuity of his life in England played a role?
The Internet was created so humans could argue over dumb shit while the computers learned all our weaknesses.
the internet was created but big Al was 21 when it started, then.....it morphed. As we all know. Algore is out looking for man bear pig in the meantime. but no, don't respond to all those dumb polls or questions from the ether. Knowledge is power and it's being consumed at an amazing rate.

City have moved to snap up Ortega on a free transfer to take his place, with the 29-year-old signing on a three-year deal and taking the No.18 shirt." ++++++++++++ * competition for Ederson

I haven't seen any new information. Assuming he's heading to Middlesbrough, they have already played two preseason games and have now moved to Portugal for further preseason training. Next up: Friday @ Braga. It's a bit concerning that we haven't gotten an update, clarifying the situation.
