Well as most of you know, there just wasn't enough interest in doing a bus trip, so that's out. But I'm still hoping we can get enough people to drive down there to support the Revs. We have 9 definites driving down right now, and would love to get a group of 20 and that way get group tickets and possibly our own section. Please please please ... come join us. If you're interested, email us at themidnightriders@yahoo.com and let us know. If we can, we will even try and put together some rides. Monty
me and Jon can not go. This is the first time we ever miss the New York trip. We will be on another trip. your friend, Jimmy
my brother and I should be heading out, give us some details on tickets, we are purchasing them there.
I e-mailed you a few days ago and never got a response.. I have a few people interested in going (3-7). Write me at yeaaaaa@hotmail.com and give me the specifics.. Price.. How I would pay you.. Time your getting there.. Where to meet you.. Anything I missed.
Here's what I have emailed people who are interested. All two of you! Tickets aren't set yet. I need to know probably by tomorrow as to who's definitely in. We currently have 13 for sure, maybe as high as 19, depending on some people. We need 20 for a group discount. Ticket prices will all depend on where they put us. There is a small chance they will open a section just for us. So if people want to join us, you will need to get tickets through the Riders as tickets for that section will not be available otherwise. It could be $13 or $16. I won't know for sure until we order the tickets. Payment and pick up will be arranged when we order. Let me know ASAP please! Monty
Blackwell Stout was from the New Haven Brewing Company, which no longer exists (in New Haven anyway, I'm not sure if it was moved or anything). But to my knowledge that place closed sometime around 97-98.
Got some good news. Sounds like we are going to get our own section on the opposite side of the ESC, but not directly behind the goal. $13 a ticket and I hopefully will have the tickets by Tuesday at the latest. This is not finalized yet, but this is what the Metros are working on for us. Wanted to send something out before I left work for the day. Monty
sounds good. Hope you boyz bring a good firm down with ya.... Parking Lot 16A wherez the rumble willz take places Bring sausage!
Congratulations to the folks who went down to the Swamp. Your voices were heard on the telecast, at least it sounded like R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N coming through the sound mix. It looked like everyone was up under the second deck out of the reain but I could see gaggles of fans near the rails. I hope no one got colds and enjoyed the coming out of Noonandinho! JIM DOW
It was great to see the Revs finally win in the Swamp we had a great time, and to let ya know NOT ONE Revs fan went for cover during the Rain.
yea we saw you in that corner over there.... Did any Revs players ever come over to your section to thank you for your traveling support?
no but we did have an incident with some rude Metro fans who were pulling the Riders banner up the stands. Classless act.
So your beloved Revs players never even bothered to thank you for your 8 hour round trip, plus expenses, just to see them play a football game?
I thought about the exact same thing as we left that pitiful section of rainsoaked, jeering, sore loser fans: why didn't the Revs come over and show us love? But then I was comforted remembering how many NY fans ran for cover when the rain came down, failing to show their support, and then their best response to our cheering was "1918"? My mistake, but I thought we were there for a football match? Hm. I must not have been thinking, like all those fair weather fans who left the seats empty cuz of a little rain. Sore losers, and literally FAIR WEATHER fans. And I agree, classless loser move at the end to grab our banner. You ran like hell when we came up to cofnront you, though, didn't you! And to the teenyboppers all around us: you will never be Britney Spears, and you have way worse moves than the cheerleaders in "Bring It on"--and you probably didn't make cheerleader at school! However, the ESC group was friendly and no hard feelings--the rest of you ding dongs ought to take an example from them. Looking forward to another fun trip in a few weeks. I leave you all with our general feeling on this match: "our team sucks, but yours is sh&t!" however, we still won the game, and are plenty satisfied with that. Spazz
