The spate of injuries has finally caught up with this team with regards to the product on the field. It's time RBNY brings in another forward, be it Rodgers or someone else, and a creative midfielder. I would offer my predicted starting 11 but who knows which players will be hurt this week in training :(

Only 1 win in the last 6, this is a good chance to break the skid. Seattle has a modest away record and is traveling coast to coast, while our guys tend to actually play from the opening whistle at home unlike the last few away games where they waited until half time. Hopefully either Henry is back or Lindpere steps up his game in the middle of the field, we need an offensive spark badly.

Remember we have a game on Wednesday which totally screws us over.. Why are we playing a game on 2 days rest??

If Henry is able to go we should only look to play him for 45-60 minutes. I would say rest Marquez and keep him ready for Chicago and play Ruthven with Conde.
Bench Dane and give Solli the start on the right flank(keep Dane 100% for Chicago)

It's really not that big a deal since we're at home. Many players prefer to get right back into a game after a few days rest as opposed to an entire week.

The only downside is we don't have more time off between games to get guys back from injury.

Marquez, henry were questionable for the last game and were scratched.

Pearce, Holgersson, and Solli didn't even train last week if I'm correct.

Also, I don't think Backe rates Ruthven very much. He could have brough Conde out after the Revs 2nd goal when the game was already decided, but he didn't.

    I would play:

    -------Henry-Cooper
    Lindpere-Ballouchy-Dane
    -------------Dax
    Lade-Conde-Keel-Barklage
    ------------Meara

I guess that is the most ideal lineup and hope that Solli, Marquez, Pearce and Hulk are available for Wednesday's game.

What's the injury update for Pearce? He's crucial for our defense.

Pearce needed about 2 weeks I think. So he should be back sometime next week.

Marquez might play this weekend as he trained a bit last week. Ditto Solli. I'm not counting on them though.

With Henry it just sounded like the same old "I have a soft calf and can't play on turf" so I expect him to go this weekend.

I haven't heard anything on Hulk.

I'll blindly put chances of playing this weekend like this:

    Henry - 75%
    Marquez and Solli - 50%
    Pearce and Hulk - 0%

The ideal thing to do is to rest Marquez and Solli Sunday against Seattle and start them vs Chicago on Wednesday imo.

Chicago plays on Saturday so it's basically a fair trade off.

Conde does not play LB, much more likely is that Marquez moves up to the midfield and Lade goes back to the bench after a lackluster performance last week.

I have tickets for this game at will-call. I need to change the name on the will-call account. Who would I speak to about that?

What are you talking about, Conde is a left footer and always cover up the LB in a 80% of the cases every game.... If because Lade play a weak game last, then you have to send to the bench the whole team, because mostly all of them play shiiit last game and 2/3 of the team worst than Lade....
Henry, Marquez and Hilariously are coming back and isn't not way in this earth that having them on hand Backe will sit one of them, so, the only way to accommodate them will be if you use a line-up like that......

Tactically moving out wide as a CB is an entirely different idea than starting and playing LB. You think Conde is going to make the runs up and down the left flank that Lade and Miller do? Every game you predict a crazy defense and you've been wrong every time.

You don't even have to replace anyone in your lineup to make it more reasonable, just move Marquez into the midfield, Conde to CB, and Lade to LB.

We will see our first empty bucket in awhile with Marquez and McCarty tandem in the middle. Lindpere to the left, Richards with the right. Essentially late last year's midfield. Cooper Henry up top.

The only interesting question is if its Lade or Miller at left back.

Lade had a rough outing at LB against Toronto but I still think he has more upside than Miller. He's tougher to beat on the dribble and provides more actual offense going forward, as opposed to simply keeping possession like Miller does.

I'd like to trade Miller for some cap space, international slot. 112k.

Use some of the space to sign this Colorado striker we have training.

I'd like to get rid of Miller, Ballouchy, and Rafa but I'm not sure we have the depth quite yet to move those guys.

Depth is getting better and better each year, but I think we're one more offseason away from having a truly "deep" squad.

Well we need Ballouchy as an offensive sub type so long as this team has no 3rd striker and no effective DP CAM. I think Ballouchy can be a great super sub player.

Rafa would be great if he played more than 30% of the games and tried in more than 50% of those.

Pretty much what I was saying. We need those 3 guys unless a CLEAR upgrade is available. I don't want to swap Ballouchy for another Ballouchy.

They have value even if it's only for depth purposes.

Also, the case of Rafa is obviously multilayered.

Amerikwa is like a minimum salary guy so we don't need much space for him.

And as far as the creation of cap space and allocation money - we have no real clue as to what the numbers are so it's tough to speculate that we need to create room to sign more guys and a new DP.

To think that because the RBNY have this year some allocation money all the problems areresolved is to be a near-sighted person....So, you will have one, two or three extra players, but what will happen at the end of the year when you get eliminated and don't bring any hardware to show to the fans. ...For sure next year when you don't have that allocation money will be worst and the fans will continue with out satisfaction for years to come....

Is true that we need maybe 16/18 good players, but the rest have to be Develop or Reserve players and our authorities have to start learning how to pick them to fill the needs of the team and count with them when the team need they presence, today we have not reserve at all, the majority of players are from the academy teams, players that can't play or intervene on the first team, and that make us a very weak team, thanks to the vision of the Wizard and Co.....

    1. We will get allocation from Agudelo sale this summer

    2. The Cap will go up again

    3. We might lose Kenny Cooper because a bunch of allocation to Dallas is part of the trade if we re-sign him. Cooper has been great but it'll be hard to keep him and Heath, Heath who much of his salary is still being paid by Chivas.

what else, ah, expiring contracts this year include Teemu, Solli, Richards, we will have to see if e can keep them, but I expect a decent amount of roster turnover.

Lindpere's contract is up at the end of this year too, no? Would be very surprised if Teemu stays, wouldn't be surprised to see Lindpere and Solli go too if their contracts are up.

Lindpere signed a multi year extension before the start of the season, no? Teemu will definetely be a goner and his 200k or so salary can be used to resign Cooper although I'm a bit worried that Cooper will demand DP money(Hope not) Ballouchy and Miller should be goners too this offseason and that should free up another 250k or so cap. I think 450k+ should be enough to retain Cooper and Heath with some left over tbh.

Also Raffa's contract expires next summer so we will only have to pay half his salary next season(don't know how MLS works with that exactly)
