All white? Oh god, I'm having a terrible flashback of 2009!!!

It looks horrible in bright light too. Normaly I don't like being a fashion critic while watching the game itself, but good lord they're brighter than bleached crackers watching full house.

Chicago will have to come out of their shell to attack. Hopefully we can take advantage with another goal or two.

Another facking blown lead turned into a draw!!!!! Again, failure to adjust as the other team adjusts to you. Fire Hans Backe!!!!!!!!

For all the ranting I did against Sutton last week, Bouna comes out and does that

Henry has to be injured again, most lethargic he's looked all season.

Yeah - it was a howler, but overall I thought he was better than Sutton. Got to high balls better and got down faster. And Sutton has to stay home on that breakaway that Bouna raced out to stop.

Sloppy game. Definitely a lot of tired legs out there. 3 games in one week and the travel does take a toll. Shit game and shit result. Chicago is a team that we should beat even if we are not at full strength. Frustrating game to watch and to reflect on. ******** all these ties. I'm sick of it. Thankfully the Gold Cup is over. We need to start picking up some wins already.

Henry played his " Vlderamma game" today, just standing, walking and passing out of the midfield. Nice job by Hans not utilizing his last two subs on Henry and Linpere who were gassed. can we get a real GK coach and a bench coach to remind Hans we can use 3 subs when players are dead on the field?

The use of subs in this game (or non-use) is totally inexcusable. Atrocious game management.

Even if you take into consideration the players who were out for the Red Bulls, the team is still deep enough as there was no excuse not to defeat an inept team like the Chicago Fire.

The bright side of all of this, is that it's given playing time to guys who might be called upon in the playoffs in case of injuries or suspensions due to yellow card accumulation.

Marquez may be out for a while.... This game was almost as bad as the USA U17 game vs New Zealand yesterday...

The Gold Cup final was truly disastrous for us US/Metro fans. One report said he would be out 1-2 weeks but we won't know for sure until he gets back with the team and they check it out properly. We can't afford to lose him for an extended period of time. Same with Henry.

Backe has two major fixable problems right now :

    1) The set pieces suck balls

    2) His lack of subbing is going to bite him in the ass - he's running too many players into the ground

We also need a keeper. We're not winning with Bouna or Sutton

This excerpt sums it up for me:

"New York Red Bulls Joel Lindpere

On being pleased with preserving a point in Chicago:

“No, not at all. We didn’t win. Not too much to say. The next game is away and we have one week to analyze all the teams. We played well for 45 minutes but it’s not enough. Everyone on our team needs to think about what we should do and how we should play better. So now we go home and play a US Open Cup game and guys who haven’t played so much will be able to show themselves there. I think everyone understands now that we cannot go on like this. We score one, but we give goals back. They get very stupid, easy goals against us, and then we fight to get the goals back. Then we do something stupid again. So, for me, game day should be like a party, I want to have fun. I play; I want to smile on the field. It’s not fun anymore. I am going to look at myself, I hope my teammates look at themselves too so we play more as a team. We just need to do a better job. That’s basically it.”"
