Two particular things of note here: 1. They have added a new site, Aces and Eights in Shawnee. 2. Due to the problems they had at one of the locations the last time, Paddy O'Quigley's is offering 1/2 price appetizers and drink specials. A word of advice...Watch your back at Aces and Eights. (Note: I'm not implying that you will get jumped or attacked in anyway. I was merely making a bad Western/poker joke).
Soccer-friendly enough that they shelled out $XXXX.XX (not sure if that's public) to be a watch party location.
well even with the problems last time at Paddy O's, I'm going to one of the two, probably the one on Woods Chapel
Depending on how Little Rhymeorreason is feeling, when Mrs. Rhymeorreason's outdoor game is, and how much we get done on Saturday, we may be at the 810 Zone. Any guesses on how smoky it might be inside for a 3pm Sunday start?
I was at the Woods Chapel Paddy's for the FCD game and there was a total of 6 people in attendance for watching. The people that were working were almost as ignorant to what was happening as they were two weeks ago for the Dynamo game. They waited till well into the first half before they even switched the game audio on. I feel awefully let down by them. I would have been better off just watching it at home I guess.
Chris and I got decent service at Paddy's off of 150 highway. We asked them to switch a tv or two, and asked for sound, they were more then willing to accomodate those requests for us.
The ESPN2 game isn't a good game for a watch party at a bar. Everybody gets ESPN2. The better games are the HDNet or DirectKick games.
So what is everyones destination for the Crew game Saturday? I am unimpressed with Paddy's at this point. I'd like to join up with as many people as possible for the next, I haven't really met any of you guys, save for BenC, and that was for a couple minutes when I got my scarf.
I'd be at this if I wasn't in a wedding that starts at 6PM. I'll be calling one of you for an update right after the service and pictures are complete.
This just in from the FO: This Saturday night's game vs. the Columbus Crew at 6:30pm cst will be broadcast in high definition on the HDNet channel. The following locations on the Watch Party Network are the only locations that will be televising the game this Saturday. * 810 Zone in Leawood * Paddy O'Quigley's - 210 SW Greewich Drive location ONLY * Aces and 8's in Shawnee Mission That is all.
