Part 3 of "Requiem for a Cycle": Remembering. Since we're going into the World Cup with the highest expectations ever for the US, I figured it was a good time to look back on the best results in the history of the team (btw, the current YouTube title is only temporary in attempt to get more views at first):

The "Greatest Disasters" in US soccer history would be a much longer video.:p

A video of clips from 1998 and the '06 Czech game set to music from The Natural and Chariots of Fire would be good for yucks.

The "Greatest Results" video is darn good. I plan to watch that a few times in the lead-up to England. Thanks, man.

    Great stuff!

Pity it's so hard to find footage from USA 3 Argentina 0, 1995 Copa America...the best win of the modern era that no one ever saw...

Dude, I searched for it. I even put up a "classic request" on Hunt Park Insider seeing if anyone had it. It was the only thing that I really wanted that I couldn't get in the video.

The only other things that I couldn't find but only sorta wanted were the trophy presentations from the US's first couple Gold Cup wins, but alas.

But yeah, I really wanted highlights from the 1995 Copa America match.

One question though: Why did you go with Ching and Donovan at the Gold Cup instead of the Feilhaber goal?

Maybe there are some photos from Argentina-USA 95 that could've worked just to include it. That probably would've f@#$ed up the pace of the video though.

LOL. Nice job on everything, except for this: I know "requiem" sounds like a really cool word and all, but you kids are really using this word incorrectly. If you actually knew what the word meant, you would probably not want a song of the USMNT to be known as a requiem.

Standing by for pretzel logic in 3.....2....1...

And know weigh am I trying to be your grammer police, ether.

I'll make sure you tone it down despite you coming off as a . . . nvm. But why don't you check out this post from a thread from almost 3 months ago, and tell me just how much I don't know about the word "requiem": https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=19921654&postcount=28

PLUS, there is a reason it is "Requiem for a CYCLE," not "Requiem for a TEAM" or "Requiem for the US," etc.

Really glad you included the Howard save against Mexico in the gold cup final.

That's my favorite save of all time.

Awesome vid! And it proved one point of contention that has always been argued about. Coby Jones > Argentina.

    *sigh*

Where were you when I was searching? Jeez. I can't imagine why I wouldn't have looked at that video. I mean the title is so descriptive.

    Dangit.

    I should clarify...favorite save of Howard's.

My favorite US save is Keller's triple save against panama.

My favorite all time save is Kelvin Jack's save against Bahrain in the last seconds of their 2nd leg tie that saw them through to the world cup. I don't think many 'keepers ever would have kept that out. It was a true act of world cup inspiration that led him to that save.
