I fear the 90's have returned. This would've been very nice in 1995

Mexico has released its kit for the upcoming World Cup. Their Women's team will actually get the opportunity to wear them first, in a match against the US in qualifying on Monday - although it looks like they've already been eliminated from the 2023 Women's World Cup.

I think it looks pretty nice.

Where's the sash? It needs to have a sash.

Barca’s new kit seems to be based off of the Nike template. Hoping for something like this in our colors. E9C81E85-623F-459F-84DB-BC28B217E706.jpeg

I'm so sick of looking at kits... and yet I keep looking at kits.

Hopefully, USSoccer will surprise me someday with a kit I'll like enough to buy, but I'm not holding my breath.

Mexico consistently one-ups us in the kit department. They're lucky to have adiidas.

that's pretty bad. After seeing this my fear of the US getting something similarly bad for a primary kit has increased knowing Nike's love of templates.

I could see ours as the bright blue color fading into a darker blue in the shoulders and the crest in the center.

There was that leak reported by @Sebsasour last month which I think makes a lot of sense as it's consistent with the FootyHeadlines info on colors and just sounds right to me. Here is his post:

I'm confident the primary will be mostly white as he says. We aren't getting the Waldo but someday I hope if we keep clamoring for it.

I think your prediction of some sort of fading on the 2nd shirt is very possible as fading seems to be a current Nike gimmick. Either top to bottom or to the shoulders.

And we keep seeing the crest in the middle rumor so that's sounding more plausible, but I'm still not 100% sold as everyone puts their crest on the side and puts the individual game info in the middle. But I'm not saying it won't happen.

We're about 2 months from official unveiling and seeing it on sale so it has to be in production by now (or very soon). That means it's going to be much harder to keep it a secret, I think we're going to see the actual shirt leaked sometime soon probably by some worker from some Asian kit factory.

Ha. To be peddled in gas stations worldwide.

Nobody in the US calls the United States “USA”. Occasionally it will end up in chants, but that’s it.

Reminds me of a flag you might see in an English village fair circa 1890.

You could purchase a hat pin at that fair with a cartoon image of the Queen kicking a soccer ball.

I wish, but Barca will always get a more bespoke kit because they will sell a LOT of shirts no matter what.

Swap out the light blue with white, and that could be a good dark kit for the US assuming the back where the number is placed is dark blue (or red if the color of the shoulders is red.

Wouldn’t hate but I’m not a fan of the vertical stripes. Other nations already have that look

well, kit designs is a totally personal matter as far as what looks good. Some people like traditional designs, which I find boring. We all have our opinions on the designs, no right and wrong just personal preferences.

Nigeria consistently has amazing kits IMO. They are always super unique and to me seem to capture their culture in a big bold way. This one is done by Nike, so for sure it's possible for Nike to make unique and great shirts. Shame Nigeria won't be in Qatar to show these off.

Nike will create an awesome, unique kit for Nigeria.

And then give us (USMNT) a plan white shirt with some off-white lines

Given that Nike is perfectly willing and able to make unique shirts for Nigeria it seems more likely that the Nigerian Fed insists that they want something vibrant and culturally representative, while the USSF probably tells them something very different.

I think that's it. This is like how many of these eye popping shirts in a row for Nigeria? I agree it's more USSF than Nike, although it seems Nike always gets the blame. The initial design guidance must come from someone in USSF, then Nike runs some ideas by them, and in the end USSF approves it.

I'm resigned to the fact that the primary will be mostly boring white as @Galaxian described. Just hoping that whatever small flourishes they put on it will make it decent.

I still have some hope that our second WC kit will be good, great is probably too much to hope for. I think that royal blue design with the gradient to dark blue in the shoulders that was leaked in June may be accurate and look decent.

whatever they come out with I'll be getting both to rep the team in Qatar.

btw this is one of the new shirts AO just came out with. I already put my order in for one. They call it the "2022 Denim Remix" and I love it. I wonder if USSF/Nike would consider something like this for 2026 as a nod to the 1994 classic. Love it or hate it, that 94 shirt is one of the most iconic our team has ever worn. The fact it was an Adidas design though may be an issue for Nike.
