I take back all that stuff I said about not respecting tradition. Last time we played in a Copa America we also looked horrible! This IS our tradition!
I disagree. While a bit different, those kits definitely had an American look to them and were pretty harmless. Just royal blue (same color as the bomb pop blue as well as the current fading blue top) and pinstripes.
To be fair we only wore that one for the first game against Argentina. We wore the 06 home "victory" jersey the next two games (one of the best we've ever had).
We also wore them (or something similar) for a friendly against Ecuador where Donovan scored a hat-trick.
Maybe I'll have to complain to the neighborhood association. It'll give them something to talk about besides their usual racist complaining.
May be the wrong thread but a heads up I'm selling my jerseys. Life happens. I've got every version of usmnt and many MLs kits. http://www.letgo.com/product/08b237c2-a76b-4074-86ff-ee8dd02f82b7 Look who I stumbled on @Wallapop_US - http://p.wallapop.com/p/40020317?_pid=wi&_me=s_android&_uid=40020317
I really like the new home kit, and I think it's going to look really good in person. I got the cap and limited edition scarf from the US Soccer store and I think the new crest looks great when you see it in person. I wore the cap Saturday to our local team's match and got nothing but compliments. I know I'm in the minority on this, but I'm liking the new stuff a lot.
It looks like is the former (light blue and dark blue lines). Either way, from normal viewing distance (your tv screen) it looks light blue.
Looks very tacky. They could put up a university style sign on their front lawn and it would look perfectly fine with the old building.

This red and blue new France jersey has sleeves with a worn-faded look. This looks better on this white shirt than it does on the supposed black USA away kit. I think the font and number color scheme, plus any sleeve badges will make a huge difference in how the US kits are ultimately perceived. Are our home shorts going to be predominantly white, too?
It's pretty awful. I would even choose the home golf shirts the Nats have been wearing the last few years over this one. It looks like a baseball jersey.
Ugh, that's what I hoped the US home would look like when the away was released. Nike is really going back to the "every kit looks exactly the same" thing they did in the early '00s.
