Mirka, it is against the code of flag etiquette to use the flag as apparel, so I don't think that it would happen.
Yeah there are a lot of rules regarding the use of the American flag. But it'd be hard to make a shirt that would violate those rules as such since it'd likely just be a stylized version of the flag. As long as it doesn't have 50 stars in the top left corner and 13 red/white stripes I'm pretty sure you can do whatever you want.
How bout having the shorts being a darker shade of red than the red stripes on the jerseys...wow. Didn't remember it being that bad...looks like the team forgot the correct shorts and had to wear those last minute or something...
It looks like US team has not decided about when to send to Germany for the WC and about their clothes (jerseys)...... I let me surprise about new USMNT t-shirts....hope you will find out before the WC 06 starts US colours are wonderful, you have so many possibilities... bltleo GERMANy
1. What's more American than denim? 2. I love the "man sandwich" spontaneously created after one of the 5 most important goals in USNT history. 3. Ernie not Earnie. 4. I'm glad we designed a new crest. 5. Wynalda's hair is tall. 6. I wish we'd do something unique and not like all the other Nike teams (yeah right). 7. Yes on the red shirt. 8. The other kit in '94 was cool too. 9. Captain for Life is grinning from ear to ear. 10. USA, USA, USA!!!
I kinda remember faux denim shorts.. not sure though. Perhaps they were so ugly that they had to use the red shorts again. Or maybe it's just my imagination.
Actually, to me, it looks like the red shorts used with the denim "star" shirts match the red stripes better than the shorts that were selected. Or is it just a trick of lighting?
We should make like Tobias and play in cut-off jeans. And of course, have everybody on the team grow a mustache.
I believe that's called a "man-wich" and yes, that makes a meal. Such was the style of the times, as photos of myself would surely attest to.
Someone called me? A friend of mine has several soccer stores in the Los Angeles area, and he told me the new US Jersey is really awesome. He went to some kind of meeting and they debut some of the new jerseys...so he has already seen it. Jackass didnt want to describe it to me though.
