Don't jump the gun there, buddy.

For lack of a better picture, this is our away kit in '98

I'm sure someone could come up with something better, but you know which one I'm talking about.

and either way, we'll be using the home kit for all 3 games. correct me if I'm wrong, but our opponents' primary colors are red, blue, and yellow, respectively.

Oh, ok. Then when did we wear those other ones? They seem pretty common, I've seen them in a lot of pictures, just figured it was from a WC.

(I was only 12 in 98, didn't watch much of the Cup. Turns out this was a good thing. :p)

I just hope we wear the blue shorts with it. The all-white look is so bland.

If Ghana wears yellow, I imagine we'll be in our dark color.

I think those kits were from the qualifying campaign prior to '98. I should know, I own one. But then again, maybe I shouldn't, I was 12 in '98 too...

For the same reason any team changes their uniform. To sell more of them.

We wear white shorts with the white home kits at the 06 WC. That's what the pics I was shown were.

I agree. They change too often for my liking..

It seems like we have had our current one for only a year.

I hope you're aware that the 98 WC was also in Europe.

Of course I am, that's why I specified it as a "european" world cup as in "let's not try to tempt fate"

Of course I now realize I was mistaken about what we wore in 98, so it's a moot point.

Understood, but another point is that in 98 the collar, even with it flipped, was in style. I can't see Nike trying to bring that back for us either. I hope it is indeed like the tighter Juve shirt.

I hope the kits dont change too much, I dont mind the current ones, and going retro along with other teams looks retarded.

If the away kit isn't deep blue and is the colour of the flag, does that mean it'll be more of a Chelsea style blue? Cant say how I think that'll look until I actually see the kit.

That's EXACTLY the color. I really should have thought of that comparison. On top of the US jersey layout, I also saw Brazil and Mexico's and they were retro like the new US ones.

Does the jersey have a colar, or is it basically that Juve jersey just with a different colour scheme?

I don't remember if there was a collar or not to be honest with you (I want to say yes but am not 100% sure). It's not the same as the Juve one but it gives you the right idea of what it'll look like.

The kits dont look bad , but what ive read on other threads is they will try to make the current ones less cookie cutter. I wish we would get a red third kit , or even a red away kit , seeing how our supporters wear red.

That's wrong. That's the training stuff. You can even see it say TRAINING APPAREL in the one pic.

I saw the same book as he has pics of but that's not pics from the right page.
