I'd be willing to put money that the Nike World Cup uniforms will look a lot like this style. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/photos?photoId=908754&gameId=253000259
pretty sure it is holland not france, france wears adidas and it is rumored that all the nike teams will have retro kits for the world cup. hence the sash like the dutch flag.
That is definitely Holland, I've seen the picture elsewhere. Also take notice of all the orange on display surrounding the kit.
Makes sense, I guess. That looks more like the KNVB lion. So, all Nike teams are getting "throwbacks," eh? Well, the 1999-2001 kit (the thick blue V-neckline on a white shirt) was a throwback to 1916. Will that make a comeback? Or will it be the red-stripe kit ironically worn in the game that eliminated Jamaica from the CONCACAF semifinal round?
For those who haven't seen it yet, since Holland's possible white kit has been posted, this is what is being speculated as their orange kit.
There is a thread that reconfirms that the U.S. team will be wearing a "Victory" kit, but with a red collar. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267533 And lots 'o' throwbacks.
Bump - Anybody know if the new jerseys will at least be on pre-sale in time for Christmas? Would be nice to get it as a gift...
According to those in the know...Nike isn't officially releasing the designs until the spring. Originally planned to do it around the draw this Friday but have held back due to fear of fakes.
Why do we have to change? I like the ones we have right now. I suppose Nike's new style will be nice, but I hope we don't look like total amateurs. The whole world already sees us as that let's not help them out with a poor jersey showing.
and Croatia. All those teams are more respected than the US. Nobody likes us and respects us which is good, but we shouldn't help.
I dont think our jerseys would really make them respect us less , unless they were REAL bad , but I dont see that happening . i hope ...
Hey everyone...I just got back from watching the draw with a friend of mine who I haven't seen in awhile. Well, he works for Nike (that's all I can say) and he's shown me pics of the new jersey. I'll do my best to describe them both now. The away one like these from a few years ago. The exception is that the blue isn't that deep. It's a much more lighter shade of blue. Almost like the color from the "flag" ones we wore in '94. The white home jersey's are almost entirely white except down the left side of the chest, running vertically, our red and blue stripes. It looks very similar to this year Juventus away except where there's in red, ours is white. The green and white stripes they have are red and blue on ours. I hope that makes sense. I think they look ok. They aren't the worst I've ever seen us where.
