When inquiring about season ticket renewal, was told by my ticket rep that our section (131) would no longer be available as there will be a new supporters group there. Anyone have any details?

I find it strange that DCU would not let you renew in your existing seat. Did they offer to upgrade or move you to a comprable location at the same price?

How many supporters groups do we need? What's wrong with the other 4?

they moved from 232 down to the 100s, maybe even 131. they were still there last year, though smaller in number...

I still find it hard to believe United won't renew his/her existing seat. They might tell you you're in the middle of a supporter group and maybe you might want to join, but to say you can't have the same seat sounds strange.

131 is practically next door to the Barra and SE's what the f-'s the point??? (unless they are the disgruntled AA, born again Christian faction of DC United fans...) :D

I hope CSC treats them as well as the rest of us. Ahahaha

I believe 131 is the Choir (and yeah, not a dig, but do they still exist?) Give Fred Matthes a holler at DCU, he should be able to tell you who is controlling the sales of those seats (you might even be able to get them cheaper through the club, that's the case with the SEs).

That sounds odd. I have sat in section 120 since day one and when LA Norte joined me there I have never been denied access to renew my seats.

Here's my Section 131 conspiracy theory. The past several years we haven't looked that full in the bottom bowl except in 134 and 135. With the heightened media coverage and number of times we are going to be on TV, I wonder if DC is going to try to help ensure the TV side is jammed. If I were SZ or KP I would. But not at the detriment of long timers. I'd just fill the YFC in around them with their thunder sticks :(

Why doesn't somebody teach those crumb snatchers some songs? All kids know My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean - it should be easy to learn "If I had the wings of an eagle"

    The REAL poop:

There actually is some new upstart club. It seems the guy who won that backyard tailgate contest is all gung-ho to start his own group. They maybe in 131 or 113. What else they are intested in doing I don't know, this is all I heard from someone at DCU. If they're looking for a more family atmosphere they might want to be further away from the SE/BB where songs like listed above have been known to be sung.

Also, not clear what state the Choir is in or where they will be this year (seems that still is being sorted out).

    OK, as you were.

i still think that is bob b.

anyway, good on that guy. nothing wrong with another club. anyone in the adult component is welcome to the barra tailgate for a beer.

how cool would it be if we had 5 supporters groups, each with their own style, bringing it on for the black and red...nice

I hate to be the Ahole (no I don't) but at what point do we (the United family) need to say enough? We've got three , possibly four great supporter groups that have supported this team from day one. Does United really need another supporter group, or is it just a way to tie up seats and lock people out?

A bit cynical I admit, but hell... when crunch time comes and the casual fan can't get in I think it will be counterproductive.

I'm just reacting to a fan that was told he couldn't renew his seats in 131.
    Bogus if you ask me....
