A study referenced in this article in New Scientist states that teams that move to new stadiums "lost on average 24 per cent of their home advantage." Although the study covered only "results of professional baseball, basketball and ice hockey games in the US between 1987 and 2000," we can only hope the results of this study hold true for the Galaxy.

The article did have this soccer-related quote, though:
"The testosterone in professional soccer players surged by up to 67 per cent more during home games compared to away fixtures."

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp I only wish that the Earthquakes were looking into testing out that theory for themselves (somewhere in the South Bay, of course)! :(

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

The trainer for the Galaxy is very aware of this report and has ordered a large supply of testosterone laced chewing gum.
