Drove past the new stadium site yesterday and took a few snaps of the new bridge, not too great as it was in the middle of a torrential downpour, also one of the start of the stadium, I'll update them as work progresses, also told the four builders standing by the gate to get their fingers out. :)

Got a few pics of one of an ever present for the last ten seasons as well :)

Yes, I think it will go over the tracks to the stadium, as far as more photo's there's not to much to see , just the bridge , the large concerete buiding, and more cranes than cranes 'r' us, but i'll take some more next month.

Thanks. They're not splashing out on the bandwidth.

I had a look myself the other day. It's hard to see much except from the East, and the mixture of new construction and undemolished buildings on the site, added to a mesh fence on that side, makes it difficult to see what is what from there too.

The North Bridge (the one with the central span already in place) has had to be put well above pavement/concourse level as the train line it is crossing rises to the North. It's going to be a little awkward to connect it to street level on the Drayton Park side. I assume disabled access regulations will rule out simply using a broad staircase.

It looks like the South Bridge will be considerably longer, as it will cut across the railway at an acute angle.

Don't want to open up a new thread. Found some pics of the old Highbury. Might be of interest:

Which reminds me, what ever happened to Gunnersaurus Rex? That guy was one of the best posters ever. Never in my life have I laughed as much as I did when he was around.

    BTW thanks for the pics.
