I am dissapointed that rooves over the stands were not implemented, as well as a terrace. Hopefully the fundamental footy stuff can be added on at a later date......

Couldn't the grass hill end be a terrace?? or is that strictly going to be for design purposes??

    Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful....

One small thing to note: didn't the last design have "Dallas Burn" spelled out on the seats of the main stand?

That stadium looks awesome! You Dallas people are extremely lucky to have such an awesome design like that. I wish we could get something like that in Philly. Holding out hope...

8 out of 10 teams would kill for it!

A great design with plenty of room to expand. It looks like they're leaving one end as the "grassy knoll" and could possibly sell tickets for it if demand warrented. Initial capacity looks about 20,000 but I think they could easily add seats up to 35,000 with few problems. The future looks bright.

I really hope that they can put "Dallas" on one side and "Burn on the other or maybe a texas flag but who am I kidding, it looks AMAZING. Can't wait to step foot in that gorgeous stadium in 2005. Ahhh, one more year!

Anyone know what those white tent-like structures are for?

I think the tents are standing room/pavilion/public party type areas.

Clb has a area like that overlooking their field that is a pub area kind of thing. I myself have had a drink or two there.

That looks awesome. Super development for the Burn and MLS as a whole.

Can't wait to see it in person some day.

We're lucky the seats are red and don't say
"Frisco Coons" (yes, that's the high school
mascot, although they are opening a 2nd
high school next year which will prevent
any one schools' identity/colours from being
    used at the new place.

Firstly, this model is totally awesome. If this place is built as shown, it will be a soccer palace. However, Brush raises a concern. Again, this will not be the Burn home. It is the home of the Frisco football Coons, and again, we are just a annoying nuissance. We again are simply tenenants.

I don't mean to be a perpetual bucket of cold water, especially when expectations for the facility are so high. But, I know many Burn fans who say that the drive is way too far to committ to attending all but a handful of games. And that is predicated upon the right on the field moves happening. Is Frisco a hotbed of soccer afficionados? I thought that they were mostly farming and ranching types along with suburban white flight types. This is not the normal mix for a soccer market.

    Here we go again...

BTW--Hunt Sports Group is the operator of this stadium for at least 20 years.

No concern, i'm being sarcastic, like i am
in 90% of my posts... this is the Burn home,
and HSG will control the venue.

I think you have this backwards.
The Burn have operational control of the facility.
It is the Frisco Coons who will be annoying tenants.

Frisco is currently one of the fastest growing cities in the US. It is a suburban city, lot's of new housing and shopping malls. It is just next to Plano, one of the fastest growing cities in the '90s, another suburban city. Collin county was the second fastest growing county in the U.S. in the '90s and growth has not slowed in the '00s

The area is a hotbed for youth soccer, with three of the four competitive leagues in Dallas/FtWorth are close by. Many of the top competitive youth clubs are based in the area.

We'll see about that. At the beginning the coons will likely be the main revenue producers for HSG in the stadium, with likely higher attendances than the Burn.

The proof will be when the coons want to paint down gaudy purple and black endzones that can't be decently removed by Saturday night. That's when we will find out who the primary tenants are.

Unless they changed their mind, DALLAS BURN is supposed to be spelled out. The white tent areas are for group sales maybe the youth associations or large corparate. They had something smaller at Dragon that Buca di Beppo catered.

As 3rd stated they are the one in control now, not another football team, not the State Fair, not another an owner of another team. They will have other teams playing there but the signage will be their's to fill and sell. When do they get a corporate sponsor like LA did with Home Depot? They can't leave those dollars alone.
