And the team themselves confirmed it a few days ago... http://www.cdchivasusa.com/news/2014/06/chivas-usa-sign-japanese-defender-akira-kaji
So we are reinforcing our backline it seems, I'm not complaining but we need Forwards who can score besides Cubo we really are lacking in attack.
Matt Fondy was waived. http://www.cdchivasusa.com/news/201...vas-usa-da-de-baja-al-delantero-matthew-fondy Besides Barrera, we have 3 other FWs ( Finley, Tyrpak, Calvert) who are inconsistent in playing time. Kaji can replace Toai & hopefully improve our backline.
Rumor http://www.coloradorapids.com/players/nathan-Sturgis Dear lord what is Cabrera thinking? Another MF?
Yes, and the Fire snatched him up. And with Fondy on the Fire, MLS Cup 2014, he we come! Seriously, is there anything with Fondy that can cause any optimism? No? I didn't think so.
Rumor former FC Dallas HG/1st GK Richard Sanchez is set to join Chivas USA on loan for 6 months according to Medio Tiempo http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...-jose-torres-fall-just-short-qualifying-copa-
Didn't Dallas just sell him to Tigres? http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...sell-homegrown-gk-richard-sanchez-tigres-uanl
Felix Borja to Chivas USA http://www.cre.com.ec/noticia/67791/felix-borja-jugara-en-las-chivas-usa-de-la-mls/

People are speculating that we might get Jermaine Jones. Also some very hush whispers that Tim Lieweke is taking on CHIVAS rebrand
Except SI's Wahl asked that exact question and Lieweke said no. But I pray he was lying. That would be epic.
Leiweke is a mover and a shaker. He is also a driven winner who will do what it takes, spend what it takes and make the hard decisions to make it things happen. I can only think that much like his white lie earlier this week that he wasn't leave TFC any time soon, he is also lying about being involved with a LA2 team in 2015.
I'm not sure what his personal wealth is, but my guess it could be some kind of scenario where he is the CEO of the club along with being a minor investor partnered with a big money investor. Sorta like Nick Sakiewicz at Philly or Adrian Hanauer at Sounders. Of course this is all just theory and conjecture.
