http://www.thegoatparade.com/2013/8/27/4664482/chivas-usa-sign-midfielder-carlo-chueca There is, apparently, a new goat.
Supposedly comes from our youth system originally. March can you vouch for this? Anyways if this is true, I'm loving that we are signing out of our youth ranks. This Peruvian kid got a shot in a very good league. Lets see what he can do on the goats. Also hope to see Calvert get some minutes.
This is why a PDL team would benefit our first team. Rey you should bring that up at your next meeting with mr David, Paco, and el patron Vergara (patrona Fuentes). Once our young goats mature bring em' I up to the first team. The sub 23 team isn't getting the proper competition that a PDL USL team would provide
Well, it would seem they're building for the future (or next season at the very least,) which is good. I hope it all pays off.
Personally, all of these youth signings are a bit worrisome. Te Klose seems to be seeking out players he is familiar with during his time as youth academy director at Chivas USA a few years back. I agree that we're looking to the future.
Why? The way I see it is they're bringing guys back into the fold that shouldn't have ever left, in a sense getting the ship back on course. I'm not the most "behind the scenes" savvy guy out there so maybe that's why I'm less weary than others.
I guess I see Te Klose as trying to build the team on the cheap with unproven talent. Spending money for some solid MLS experienced guys would help. i.e. experience in closing out games, cooler heads, knows the players around the league. I'm not a behind the scenes guy either. The team looks great for next season though.
Closing out games is definitely a HUGE problem. I agree that this could be a very dangerous team down the road, provided the good talent isn't poached...
Will do brother, The way I see thing … just my point of view Chivas USA is getting ready for 2015 with lots of young talent this guys will be role models and future icons of our club Flores, Alvarez, Delgado, Torres, delafuente I have faith that we will find our own place for the beginning of the 2015 season and that’s when we will make the big boom with Adding Los Angeles to our Clubs name may be 2 big names in to our roster, if we keep the club on the directions is going with the same or most of the players and the coach 2014 would be a playoff year that is for sure
Jean-baptiste may end up being our best signing. Already like this kids garra http://soccerly.com/article/matt/baptiste-i-want-to-make-chivas-champions-again
Agreed. He's going to be a quality player. SBI rated him as one of the most improved young players last season.
..and it looks like Chueca is gone http://www.thegoatparade.com/2014/2/27/5453992/chivas-usa-waive-midfielder-carlo-chueca along with De la Fuente http://www.thegoatparade.com/2014/3...n-de-la-fuente-homegrown-second-stint-tijuana

Reports out of Japan say that former Japan international right back Akira Kaji of Gamba Osaka is headed to Chivas USA and will have his physical on the 17th in LA. He tallied 64 international caps before retiring from the NT in 2008 and played in the 2006 World Cup, 2004 & 2007 Asian Cups, and the 2005 Confederations Cup. He's kinda old (34) but was a real quality player with good technique on the ball and excellent stamina. Lots and lots of experience.
