How about a navy shirt that resembles West Ham United's away kit?

Or, a third kit borrowed from the Bolton Wanderers?

My favorite Revs top is the 3rd Reebok (Red white small white stripes). I'd really like to see the Revs have a red top instead of blue, because there are enough blue tops in the league. They should at least come back with the 3rd jersey.

I think a blue home shirt will be best. the revs should market blue merchandise and try to get fans to wear mainly blue. It will look good in the stands to see a majority color throughout the stadium and it will be supported by the blue chairs.
Anyway, as shown by the nats, red does not sell too well.

    This, I like:

[/shameless copy-and-paste from three posts above]

That for the away kit, minus when we play Dallas and Chicago. The home kit is the reverse. And the third kit, for Dallas and Chicago, is solid black with white lettering and white shoulders.

Red doesn't sell too well? Please consider:

    Manchester United
    Arsenal
    Liverpool
    Bayern Munchen

Red sells. Americans don't buy replica kits in the same numbers as those sold overseas.

I think the home colors should be navy with red trim. But, I would like a red third kit. Red has visibility. The Arsenal red shirt was created with white sleeves to help identify the teammates on the field and against a crowd of spectators. The white shorts were added as an additional "color separation."

Hopefully we can get a navy home shirt with white sleeves and shorts as well. Navy socks . Take the Hibernian FC uniform and change the colors from kelly green to navy.

I always assumed that Nike got rid of the red shirts because the red did sell well.

Only way to get people to buy the new ones was to get rid of the red entirely. I've never forgiven them for that decision, personally.

It think that Jersey is perfect.

It could be used either for home or for away.

White home jersey doesn't sound bad. I mean Real Madrid has one.

You should make a design for the other one.

Sounds like we'll "hear something soon" on the uniforms situation for next season.

    The colors are right.

Maybe we could pick up some Xara uniforms at the Dundee FC fire sale.

Haven't seen XARA in the MLS but they are all over the Scottish Premier League.

    Bump????

    BUMP!!!!

    Magpie,

This is why you Danizinho, Beez, & Jim Dow pull in the big bucks as an investigative internet reporters. What do your sources at the Kraft / Revolution Central Intelligence Agency tell you about next year's kits?

I guess its ok to say it now since the interview was a while ago but John Murphy was on USsoccerUK.com for a Q&A with Gold Members and we brought up the question about the kits, and he replied "very soon". I don't know what his timeline is for "very soon".

"I don't know what his timeline is for "very soon."

Thus, the need to "bump." :)

To clarify what was indicated by Murphy, he said, "re: the unis, you'll hear something soon...."

This was offered back on December 2nd. It's now December 29th.

Maybe we'll see our first draft pick sporting the new kit in a few weeks time... providing we're getting new uniforms.

That would certainly make sense to me, but would that make sense to the Revs?
