The rumor mill says that Lilley is the coach and the club is waiting for Clark and Ercoli to return from trips out of town to make the announcement.

Good. I even thought Lilley should have been on the list for the Philly Union and Tampa Rowdies jobs.

Glad he might be the man.

So are the rumors still relevant for Tilley taking over FCNY?

Of the potential names, I think Lilley would be the best choice. His teams win at that level and he's good at putting a team together.

He's helping scout players at their combine, so it wouldn't be shocking.

Although, he wouldn't be able to commute from Toronto any longer, so who knows.......

I've read that they have released or retired several players. Any new signings yet since the 2009 season was over?

Nothing official outside of Scott Vallow re-signing.

I have heard that a couple players that were on the 2009 squad will be retained, but that has yet to be made official.

Lilley and Ercoli has said that the USL vs NASL struggles have a lot of things in a holding pattern.

I think with the Lilley/Schweitzer regime, we'll see one of the more defensive teams in Rhinos history. Which is all fine with me, just as long as they beat Montreal consistently with 4-0 blow outs and a decent run in the US Open Cup.

That is to say if they even have a league to play in this season.
