From www.mlsnet.com on the part about ordering season tickets:

Note: for the first time in team history, fans can purchase field level seating ... move fast, the new RFK Stadium seating chart allows room for only 24,603

Does anyone have a picture or description of this seating chart? Please fill me in with the details.

DC United now only opens the lower bowl for seating, except for big games. So upper deck seats are no longer available.

As for the field level seats, there are a limited number of seats at field level in front of the Screaming Eagles.

No they are Physically on the field in front of the stands at midfield.. if you want to see a pic of the stadium's seating chart go to www.dcunited.com and click on stadium. the fieldside seats are infront of the midfield seats on the sidelines of the field... i cant wait to see someone get blasted by a ball or get a flair in their hair.

Thats what i was thinking, and that confirms my belief that this is one of the worst ideas EVER..in front of the Screaming Eagles? this makes no sense to me...

Anyone know how many the lower bowl seats? I know it says about 24K, but I would think the lower bowl seats more than that.

I notice they've added box suites. It makes sense to close down the second deck as crowds there last season were sparse (I had season tix in section 409) and probably didn't justify the extra security and concession people needed. Who wants field level seats anyway? One gets a better overview of the field in the 200 section seating. 2
