Im not sure if anyone else heard this, but a new website is susposed to start today at revolutionsoccer.net. I sure hope it looks better than the current one!
I heard this also during the KC telecast. I hope it looks good. Im looking forward to it. Does anyone remember when they had the press releases, where u could plug in name, how you scored, who assisted and when and other cool crap, that was awesome. Bring that back Webmaster!
I don't think it looks better, I think it's a design in what not to do. Three different styles of buttons that are links. Red text that are links as well as red text that isn't. Anyway, what will make it a 'good' web site is the quality and frequency of updates. KF
I've been told that the Revolution now have the ability to update the saite on the fly, so that's probably the best bit of news. I'm sure that gives them more flexibility in controling the stream of content. Quick comments: * Nice design - aesthetics are improved over the previous effort. Colors are better, layout looks cleaner... nice. * Links to the video and audio news need to be checked out at present - there's an error message when trying to link to those pages. * "Mediaworld" seems to be the same set-up the U.S. National Team uses. To be honest, I always felt it's a bit awkward with the lo-res photos and the like, and it will be interesting to see how much older media they offer... would be nice to see some older shots of St. Andre, the old 'Boro, etc. * More consistent with the Patriots site. It's a start, but IMHO, much improved over the previous effort. The Magpie
well, as expected (since they do the sites for tiger, usmnt, etc....) the revs site is now twice as slow and clumsy as site of old. at least for someone w/dialup. and was it my imagination.....or did i just get a pop-up add when i went there?
Looks like they have some problems this morning: whole bunch of html code on the main page - looks like someone tried to make smoe changes and it didn't, well... turn out quite as planned.
