WW2 pulled this country out of the depression. I believe that is why FDR wanted to enter conflict. Neither the Germans, Italians or any of the allies other than Japan attacked the USA…...

There was rationing of basic goods all throughout WW2. Sounds pretty depressing to me.

Yes during the war its true. The aftermath though, the 50's & 60's , there was an economic boom for the USA. It was all because of the war effort.

How is this supposed to be constitutional? Isn't there a separation of church and state and/or freedom of religion? How can this not be taken to the Supreme Court?

The recovery started well before than but continued with the large government stimulus provided by the war

During the Great Depression despite the surplus of goods there was widespread poverty and some starvation

The lack of money got confused for the lack of goods, forgetting that money is a representation of wealth and not the other way around.

I heard Nadler is chickening out about holding Barr in contempt. I think it’s because a judge will throw out their case and make the Dems look like idiots. More than they already look!

From what I always recalled, the players club pays a players salary. The national team only pays a per diem amount for a given tournament or match. At least that's the way it used to be.

I think there was also a pool of money given for Men's WC games...

Servando Carrasco who plays for the LA Galaxy makes $67,000 while his wife Alex Morgan is projected to make $1 million this summer alone.

Will someone please suggest that they get paid proportional to the advertising dollars they bring in. See what they say then?

    That's racist!!!

    Am I doing this right?

When I was out there in the 80s we were supposedly there to escort US flagged Kuwaiti tankers through the Straits of Hormuz into the Gulf of Oman.

Oh, and we shot down an Iranian airliner.

If they were paid the same proportion as men in this regard they would bring in less than they do now? If true, you could make a logical argument to her that woman are overpaid. Que screams of sexist pig.
