Take a look at this scan of a picture of Aly from SA. Is this the rumored new uniform? Hmmm... http://www.spiritedsoccer.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=108
The only thing that makes me think it's a practice jersey, instead of the game jersey, is that there's absolutely no trim on the uniform. Just a blue shirt with a team logo and the Adidas stripes on the sleeves. Still, maybe they're going back to the basics this year.
Interesting I wonder who is right? You will just have to wait until our charity fashion show, slated for late March.
Jon -- you're such a tease! He's working on his new book.......How to Keep Spirit Fans in Suspense Looks good!
Personally i like the road jersies, but the home jersies, marroon just isnt a good color...id actually say just wear white as the primary jersey and the maroon as the change jersey...but of course the US doesnt think like that.
SD's away kit of white top & dark-blue shorts is unimaginative & imitates NY, SJ, & BOS. The kits of losers. SD's home kit is OK if you're Bayern Munchen and playing in freezing temps. Chrissakes, they're playing in San Diego where the weather's just about perfect 6 days of the week. SD should do things differently - now that a new regime has replaced last season's gloom-and-doom. Hint: Wear Charger powder-blue & SD will lead the league in merchandise sales.
Powder Blue was our actual first choice Hey, don't laugh, we were looking hard at wearing a light blue, the minor color in our logo, but we/WUSA decided that we had to stay with the major colors. We now use light blue as anaccent. Plus, Atlanta has light blue and we don't want any part of that.
I didn't realize ATL "owned" light blue. But it's nice to be original. The latest thing in Europe are GKs wearing hot pink. Hot pink jersey & dark shorts actually make the GK look menacing.
This brought back disturbing flashbacks of bridesmaid's dresses for a cousin's wedding! Trying to repress again. I like the blue. Great for jersey sales! Buy the new blue to go with the old maroon!
