I'm not 100% sure. Probably the money guy behind the current moves.

What has been articulated by Wei Di after the deal gives me confidence this is really his way of thinking for the long run. I'm not in complete agreement with him in his thinking. But I don't see anything that smacks of another backdoor Haan.

the first guy should be 蔡振華, Wang Jianlin's right-hand man (I think)

Troussier is currently coaching Shenzhen Ruby, and the club quickly plunges to relegation zone. The Chinese football circle thinks Troussier's approaches don't fit Chinese football at all.

    He probably does.
He knows more about me than I of him.:D
I am not even sure where he was from, where he is now and where he will be.:p

Is Gao Hongbo still around (for example, as an assistant coach or something) or is he completely out of the picture?

gao hongbo is completely out of the national team now.
originally he was staying with the coach team, but i dunno if it was camacho or gao's request that gao hongbo is not staying.

before gao left, he left a list of 35 players for camacho to use for the
singapore/jordan games (in case camacho needs reference).

lately gao was linked to the hangzhou greentown post, but he said he will be going to italy to study.

Camacho is pretty good, he has coaching experience in the World Cup and Euros with Spain and didn't do too bad.

wow almost once in my life i heard a foreign team hire a chinese coach
didn't gao said he wants to reject it because
    a) he doesn't understand the tajikistan football system
    b) since tajikistan is in the group of death, he don't want the six (almost must-lose) games to affect his reputation

anyway, i read from afc few days ago that tajikistan already hired a new coach, the person is the coach of the latest tajik champion team.

yea it doesn't seem like it will go through but the report said they are still trying to convince Gao to accept. Would be cool to see it come true but highly doubtful....

Impressive. Says a lot about what Gao has done for the Chinese NT since his take-over of the coaching reins.

Not sure how he would feel about having to relocate to Tajikistan, but hey I mean if guys like Zico are willing to take up the Iraq job, then I guess it really is a matter of personal preference.

Speaking of which, I wonder if we ever approached Zico for the Chinese NT job before choosing Camacho? He's obviously familiar with Asian football at both club and international levels and had been fairly successful in the past with the Japanese NT. His AFC experience by itself would have made him a more preferable choice in my opinion to Camacho..
