I like this statement. I'm glad that Ray wasn't satisfied by the San Jose game. We did better in that game than vs LA, but we still need to improve.

San Jose Head Coach Frankie Yallup said after the last game the key to defeating D.C. United is holding even for the first half, then slowly gain control of the game. Is that an accurate assessment of D.C. United?

"No, not at all. Look at how we've won games - deep into the game. I think now we've got the full squad to make good changes as well. And that part of it, making good changes . . . There's times when you leave a good player in for the good of the team and the good of the player. It is easy to put in a fresh pair of legs. But fresh legs are cold feet as well. Sometimes it's best to show them the faith and confidence you have in them. It's a fine line, a judgment call. I think we have the players continuing to play well."

This alludes to the first quote I put above. I didn't know Yallop said that, but he's wrong as we all know. The trick for us is if we get the early lead, to maintain our intensity. Let's hope we do it this weekend in LA.
